Good morning, Karyna! Thank you for this comparison of dusty rose inks - they are my favourites!!! I really like the fiirst four in the more pink tones rathet than brown. Each is lovely but i think Herbin's Rouille d'ancre would be my favourite. Cashmere Rose is my second. All so pretty!!! 💗
I really love the cashmere rose. It is a beautiful ink! If Diamine still sells that color I would love to buy a bottle of that! Thank you for doing that ink exploration. It was super informative!💖
I’m with you on dusty pinks having a hold over me. Out of your list today, I’d pick Laban Aphrodite to try! It looks so pretty! Cashmere rose has been on my list for a while, so I’m hoping to get a sample of that if/when a local shop offers one. Rouille d’ancre has been on my list for so long, but I’ve been a bit frustrated with how dry my other Herbin inks have been. Hearing it’s not too dry is swaying me, though. It looks so soft and pretty! ☺️
Thanks for sharing that rouille d'ancre is not too dry in F and EF nibs! That is just the detail I needed to push me over the edge and go buy a mini bottle! Been contemplating for ages....
Hello Karyna, I really really appreciate that you take different papers in your inksploration. I also document my pens and inks in different notebooks. I‘m missing Robert Osters Dusky Pink or Australis Rose ☺️ Don’t worry about it, they are my alltime favs so far. The Diamine is really pretty and close behind Robert Oster. I‘d love to see your burgundy inks! Recently I wanted something like a good Bordeaux 🍷 but all my reds are lighter. I only have FWP Royal Rhubarb that is slightly darker. Have a nice weekend
I just got a bottle of Opera Rose delivered while I was watching this video, as you were swatching it.😂What timing. I also love the look of the Aphrodite and the Ume Murasaki - both gorgeous!
Cashmere Rose has my heart. I love the look of Rouille D’Ancre and currently have it mixed with Cashmere Rose, but on its own it’s too dry for my taste. Now I’m very intrigued with Laban Aphrodite and I’m glad I didn’t get Opera Rose, because Aphrodite does look like a darker Rouille D’Ancre. Thanks for the great review. I also just bought Brunch Date and it’s definitely going to need to be mixed with something else. The color is not as nice as I wanted in a nib. Great for art, though as it chrimoshades a bit.
Beautiful inks and loved your relaxing video. 💗 I have Herbin and Sailor inks and enjoy both. Would love to get both Diamine inks! There's quite a few from their recent Inkvent I'd love to try (as if I need more inks 😂).
I highly recommend the Ferris Wheel Press - Lady Rose... ❤ #MyFavorite Other than that, we practically have the same taste (And inks... 😂) Btw, I R-E-A-L-L-Y love the way you swatch your inks (With all the various paper stripes #SoClever) Much easier than swatching the same ink a few times in 2-3 different notebooks... 😊 #NotJudging But your way is def much more #EfficientAndSustainable (!!!)
Thank you! I've tried Lady Rose in Gold but not Lady Rose. I've heard mixed reviews. And thank you for the feedback - I never thought of it that way, but definitely more efficient way of swatching!
Kitsune Biyori is one of my favorite inks ever but if I had to choose some inks I want to try from this line up, the Herbin ink and Diamine Masquerade are definitely my top picks? I've tried opera rose and ume murasaki before and they're wonderful inks but i do prefer more brown or beige leaning dusty pinks so Masquerade and Rouille d'Ancre caught my eye the most
Hi Karyna, I really look forward to your videos on Saturday mornings! Quick question, I got the stamps from Everyday Explorers on your recommendation. Which ink do you use? I don’t know why my ink doesn’t stick to the stamp.
hi! i'm not sure if you've done this already, but very gently "priming" the bottom of the new stamp with an eraser or your palm of your hand helps with ink adhesion! i'd also recommend the shachihata ink brand, or the versafine!
The problem I encounter is that the color of an ink swatch and the color of the writing sample done with a Kakimori brass nib is often not indicative of the ink color when used in a fountain pen, especially if you add an additional layer or more to the swatch.
I get that, absolutely. So much can change, such as the type of nib and feed and paper. So this is not meant to be the most scientific, but gives most people an idea of how it could work for you.
@@KarynaLovesToPlan I would have been curious to see it with the dust pinks! In particular against Opera Rose and Rouille d’Ancre and the Diamine with shimmer
