In case of Portuguese in Mrauk U kingdom, As all know, Portuguese Sea adventurers discovered Indian coastal regions from From Gujarat to Oridha,Kerala,Goa,Maharashtra,Tamilnadu and west bengal and Mrauk U and Pegu,Malay islands and south East Asia since 15th century. So, According to Dr Michael who is a Portuguese descendant in Myanmar ( Burma) Left for Canada in around 1960s and later,settled down in USA. And His PhD thesis at Ohio university, Portuguese discovered and arrived Mrauk U kingdom since 15th Century ago.some hundreds of Portuguese civilians arrived with 4 ships from South Indian regions by Captain ,Ameida at Chittagong,Mrauk U in 1512. Those Portuguese migrants settled down at Chittagong seaport town,Diaga Fort, Cox bazaar and Mrauk U city in Mrauk U kingdom since then. Mrauk U kings supported them with money and Free lands to set up on their own business in the kingdom. The population of Portuguese migrants were, 2500 in Mrauk U city in 1568 and 17,000 or 70,000 in Mrauk U city alone in 1630s. The total population of Mrauk U kingdom has reached in between 1,500,000 and 2 millions in 1630s- 1730s. The Portuguese Left Mrauk U kingdom for Ava kingdom,pegu, Than-Lwin- kyauk tinn and south East Asian regions and Macao and Timor since 1785. Some of Portuguese descendants who mixed with local Rakhine community can still be found at Rakhine and Chittagong town and Chittagong hill . There were Long stories about Portuguese with sweet and bitter relationship with Mrauk U kingdom through period of times.

Mrauk U kingdom was a Guest house for Europeans ( Portuguese,Dutch,Danish,French and English and Spanish and central Asian Muslims and Persians and Arabs once.
