EN - New fish auction in Den Oever, officially opened by the mayor, who himself auctions the first batch of eels. We see how the fishermen hoist full baskets and nets with fish from the hold of their fishing boat. Inside, in the new fish auction, the large auction hall is full of interested people. The fishmongers sit in the benches and keep a close eye on the auction clock because, as with a normal auction, the price does not go up, but down. The clock indicates the price.
NL - Nieuwe visafslag in Den Oever, officieel in gebruik genomen door de burgemeester, die zelf de eerste partij paling veilt. We zien hoe de vissers volle manden en netten met vis omhoog takelen uit het ruim van hun vissersboot. Binnen, in de nieuwe visafslag zit de grote veilinghal vol met belangstellenden. De vishandelaren zitten in de banken en houden de veilingklok nauwkeurig in de gaten want de prijs gaat, zoals bij een gewone veiling, niet omhoog maar omlaag. De klok geeft aan wat de prijs is.
