This is the "fake" reproduction model by ARWY. Not a Lowe Alpine Saracen. The model is about the same, but the quality of the fabric, the quality of the stichings, the wuality of the buckles and the quality of the zippers are much less in the ARWY reproduction. Soldiers complained, that in the field, the pack would fall apart. One of the indications that this is an ARWY product is that the inside of the fabric is white. Use it for a while and the outside will also turn white. That is, if the bottom does not fall out before. The Dutch army did use thes things for a while to safe money. But of course it turned out te be more expensive because all the packs had to be replaced. Soldiers had to buy the original model in the surplus store.
On a real Lowe Alpine there is a "scale" in inches i believe so that you can see how to adjust the pack. Also on the real Lowe Alpine there are push buttons on the back with the name Lowe Alpine on it. And the grab handle on the Arwy is just OD green, the Lowe Alpine is camo woodland.
@@Wildcard77th but is the real lowe alpine variant not more uncomfortable since there is a plastic piece in the back where you can choose the length. I also see that some seem to wear out from the inside and get less water resistant
Looks like w beast of a ruck! I put together a Canadian 82 bag on a Canadian 64 frame with an Alice belt a few years back and haven't been able to find something I like better.
No doubt it's a monster of a pack 😃. All because it's a massive pack, most peoplemake the mistake of thinking you must fill it full. I prefer a huge pack because I can easily stuff a big sleeping bag with bivy (MSS) into it without struggling. FYI British Army issue bergen side "rocket pouches" will zip on the side of this pack IF you zip them on UPSIDE DOWN. Just don't forget to securely zip their lids closed first!!
