My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

Very useful video. Thanks! One question: In the last exercise at 8:51, why is the word "is" not at the end of the sentence even though you used "omdat?" Wouldn't it be "omdat zijn fiets gisteren gesloten is"?

Your sentence is also correct. "Gestolen" comes from the verb "stelen". All verbs are at the end, can be more than one! In this case you can choose the order (this is not always the case)

The sentence...I buy an expensive car, if i win the lottery.....is not correctly worded, it should be....I will buy an expensive car, if i win the lottery, because your talking about something you might do in the future. that is how we say it in English and that is why I find it hard to put that sentence in Dutch. I have been trying to learn Dutch for 3 years and making very slow progress. Why have two sentence forms for the same meaning, it does not make sense to me.

It does actually. You see, one of the stuctures is for coordinate clauses, conneting two sentences that are of equal meanig. And the other is for subordinate clauses, conneting two sentences with one being of less meaing or being a result of the other. Just because something doesn't aply to english it doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't make any sense, fellow.
