Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo reiterates judicial due process was followed in the detention of PH Opposition Senator Leila De Lima.This, after US President Donald Trump signed a 2020 budget that includes a ban on Philippine officials who supposedly helped jail the Duterte critic. In response, Malacañang has banned three US senators from the Philippines and warned it could even extend visa restrictions to US citizens.

Verry unpolite. If I were Sec. Panelo, I won't talk to this kind of person. As if Christian knows everything the way he ask the SPOK secretary. If ABS-CBN asks me the way how Christian interviewed the secretary, he sounded one-sided... as if an opponent asking his enemy. He's like trying to extract information that would prove the "wrong" doings of his enemy with his claim. Again, very impolite. Affirm to secretary for answering all the questions with good manners.

There is a difference in justice for people accused of a crime in the U.S. and in the Philippines. Justice delayed is justice denied is practiced in the U.S. In the Philippines a person accused of a crime can be jailed and trial delayed for years. What if that person is found innocent? He has already been imprisoned for years. Sen. Delima has been confined for several years but not tried. What if she is found innocent? By then she already served imprisonment for a crime she did not commit. This is what is wrong with the Philippine justice system. Most of the victimes of this justice system are the poor people who cannot lawyers. They can be detained indefinitely.

Please refrain from accusing the interviewer of being biased. We have to remember that the interviewee is the spokesman of the president and that the issue at hand requires the interviewer to be critical to the interviewee. Let's, instead, appreciate the interview and laud spokesman panelo for how he dealt it.

The interviewer could not get to the point regarding possible involvement of President Duterte on Delima's case....The truth of the matter is...The Filipino people itself or at least most wanted her burned....The interviewer was also thinking that this is a common scenario in Philippine politics that who ever is in power gets what he or she wants done...But, STILL everything has to be legal right or wrong....

It it the highest law of the Philippines...THE SUPREME COURT found their is probable cause...a reason why she was detained.
