President Rodrigo Duterte has taken a major political risk ordering closure of all PCSO operations. This closure has the following impact: 1. Cutting funding source to public healthcare for the Philippine people 2. Putting National Lottery and Small Town Lottery workers out of work 3. Taking away a form of entertainment from the people However, this presidential order is a must given the seriousness of small town lottery game activity, in which most of lottery sales are not tracked and not reported to the government. While PCSO is taking a recess, the President and his staff have an opportunity to reassess national lottery operations. Prior to this closure, PCSO had conducted three lottery drawings per day for each of its most popular games and this is too much of lottery playing for his people. I strongly believe that lottery drawings, once national lottery operations have resumed, should be conducted ONCE A DAY (like in Vietnam) or twice a day (like in Western countries) to be the most. (Note: Thailand conducts only one lottery drawing session every two weeks). Let the mind of his people be free to enjoy other forms of entertainment (movies, arts, sports, etc.) as well.
