MANILA - Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has backtracked on his earlier admission that he has links to the Davao Death Squad, which is allegedly responsible for summary executions of criminals in the city.

I said to my colleagues, iharap nyo ako sa boss natin. at yang mga taong nagsasabi ng ganyan. pati mayari ng kumpanya. magharap harap tayong lahat, we will all be facing each other lahat ng tanong nyo sasagutin ko ng tapat at walang takot dahil di ako takot! Ang taong walang tinatago ay never matatakot humarap sa kung sino, even kamatayan. I prove that to be true kasi never sila pumayag makipag harap harap. just continue talking nonsense behind my back. Mayor Duterte is very compassionate, why? He drives taxi, he always be the eye of his own nation, he always preparing for rules that is right, he always talk when your at down. When you need him he is always there. Mayor is busy they have 911 emergency hotline. And very fast.
