Suppose I have an equation y=sin(x)-a What is the 'a' value that I need so that my formula would be positive 1/3 of a cycle. I'm genuinely curious, I don't know how to solve this :\

Superb explanation. TY! BTW, how can we know the maximum frequency we can use on a mosfet? It is not explicit on datasheets. And what means the voltage on gate VS current with the labeling "20 µs Pulse Width". Example: IRLZ44N

Excellent video! I have one question about duty cycles. Is it possible that the load could be ground-side switched and the duty cycle become the percentage of time that the voltage is switched to zero? I seem to vaguely remember a certain automotive component (this might have been a solenoid, possibly a EGR valve). It was controlled by the engine control module, which used a duty cycle to provide a pulsed ground to the solenoid... I could be mistaken, but I'm just curious about that.

It can be use in both side depend on how the component was design. It can be active "HIGH" or active "LOW". CMIIW

So this is one squarewave cycle, right? _____ | |___.....V=0 line But what if the voltage oscillates between positive and negative❔ _____ | + |.....V=0 line - |___| - Is negative off or is it zero⁉️ - I think it would be safer to choose negative b/c it's there just as often as positive and zero is just transient. I can imagine many glitches occuring around zero.
