I am DV 2025 AF82** From Ethiopia Can I fill DS 260 currently with curren passport and I plan to change passport Birth Place and there is probability Passport number and Issue and Expired date will be changed ,Is there any Problem during the interview?

is birth certificate mandotary or optional? what if someone doesn't have it? also how important is it to fill this form ( DS 260) sooner now, what if i fill it a month or two later because of not having some documents like birth certificate for example? hope you answer my question

Birth certificate is required. Check travel.state.gov for more information about supporting documents required at the interview-- they have some steps if you don't have it due to some certain contingencies. It's okay to wait to submit your ds-260, but don't wait too long.. The sooner you get it in, the sooner they can process it.

Mandatory, but there are some contingencies for certain people who cannot obtain one. You can find those at travel.state.gov. It's not detrimental to fill your DS-260 as soon as possible, but do not wait too long-- they will need time to process it. However, if you anticipate it taking a long time- you can message KCC and they'll unlock the submitted DS-260 for you.

Hi Simon, My sister is a winner for 2025 Dv. When she applied to lottery she can’t remember exactly month and day she put. Is there way she can change when filling the DS-260. Also, she can’t remember is she put married or single on the initial application. Thank you all you do Simon.

If you're referring to DoB, then she will need to have that to gain access to the DS-260. If she is married and didn't report that in the initial entry, she'll most likely get disqualified at interview. There's no way to recover that information either, she must know it when accessing the DS-260 or you do not simply gain access.

Hi Simon, I submitted my DS-260 form but I made a mistake on my address history. I contacted KCC to unlock it/fix the info. No response yet. Could this cause my DV to be refused?

Expired year. You will have to apply again for 2026 in Oct 2024.

Hi Simon, I am chosen for the DV 2025, and my case number is AS00009XXX. I visited the United States in 2019 on a B1/B2 visa and again from June 29 2023 to July 13, 2023 on a J1 visa, and I am subject to Section 212E. What should I do? Please advise.
