The passport requirement reduced the number of fraudulent entries. I wish it could be reintroduced. The government have been reluctant to issue visas to selectees in the successful lawsuits of dv20 and dv21, but could do appeal that court ruling on the removal of the passport requirement. Such a pity!

Hi MR.Simon I have a question and I hope you see and answer this. After getting our visa for entering to the US we should enter from the port that we have submitted that states address in our DS and interview, or can we enter to the US from other states port and change our address after entering?

The thing I found most concerning this time round was the amount of times I kept submitting it and it would crash and I got no confirmation number. I’m very concerned about this. Is there any way it goes through to 5heir end but doesn’t give me confirmation?

Depending on the date on which the Makber case fills the form 260, when the process will be completed and will be placed in the queue, what will happen if the case number is not processed until the case number is announced? Some say the process takes a few weeks and some say several months

Can I apply for DV 2025 Lottery if I have been selected for the DV 2024 lottery, as I have a high case number for DV 2024

Ok, what if our very first entry in 2015, we had taken the photo at home ( for sure the pictures didn't cover the requirements there had a background shadows) so if that very first application with bad photos is does it affect the next application in DV Lottery ( after 2015 we applying with professional photo) I mean to add us in some sort "blacklist" that we attached the photos that not meet the requirements?

We realized that once you have filled and submitted their DS260s they must attend interview with you but we would not want them to join us immediately. For financial reasons we would want to file for them as family when we would settled in the US should we succeed. How can we get their individual DS260s off the system

Hello Dear BritSimon I am the winner of the 2024 DV Lottery from Afghanistan, and when filling out the DS 260 form in the education section, we only mentioned our highest 14th grade certificate and unfortunately we did not mention the 12th grade graduation certificate , which is actually a high school document in our countrey. Hi Mr Simon I have a question about DV. My case is current and I am waiting for 2nl(email) from Ethiopia embassy. Do the person that is in America (which I wrote his name and address on DS 260 for hosting me when I go to america) receive any question from KCC or Embassy of Ethiopia to say:- okay I will accept to host this boy.? If there is this kind of request at which time will it be before visa interview or after visa interview. I am asking this question because I feared if this is the thing that delayed my 2nl....I asked the guy that is going to host me and he said he received no email or post asking him like this. In the ds 260, is the date of attendance the same as date of admission to the school? and the date of attendance to the same as the date of graduation from the school? I was off by a few days from the dates on my certificates, should I unlock? The month and year are correct but for the days I typed 1 instead of 11 and 1 instead of 15 since I thought it was attendance and not those on the certificates. I also only added the info from age 16 above even though I was in that same school since age 5, is that correct?

I had my appointment yesterday in Algeria but unfortunately my file was missing a police certificate from the UK (where I lived for 5 years) though I applied for one a couple of weeks ago. I haven't heard from ACRO yet and website states it may take up to 30 working days to process application. I am very nervous as the immigration officer said I should send it ASAP. Any suggestions? Hi Sir, I am a Kenyan 2023 dv selectee and my interview has been scheduled on 02/08/23 (two weeks from today). My problem has been getting the Kenyan good conduct since the system has been down for a while now. I however have a PCC from Qatar where I’ve been living. Is producing the Qatar good conduct alone enough if I fail to get the Kenyan one before my interview appointment?

Hi Simon, I hope you’ll see this comment and answer to two questions I have as I don’t know when the next Q&A is going to be. 1) I got selected in the DV lottery and submitted the DS-260 form. I was wondering if while waiting for my case to be processed, could I visit the US? I already have ESTA issued last year but I’ve heard someone say you cannot travel to the US while you wait for the green card but I wonder if it also applies to this situation. Will they see it on the border that I’ve got the DS-260 submitted? Please let me know if you know how it works :) 2) Also, I once got arrested for something dumb when I lived in the US in the past. The case got dismissed before I even appeared in the court and I want to prepare the court records but all they have sent me was just the copy of the violation and case dismissed receipt. Do you think it’s enough? The good thing is they let me extend my visa later and also let me in 3 more times back into the US on ESTA. Do you think I should be worried that this may have an impact for them not to issue me a green card?

It is very strange they removed the passport requirements, since it works like an anti-cheat in some ways. I mean what if someone wants to be mean and use your photo again and again, so this basically is a devastation for that particular person whom wants to try their chance out. Very weird indeed. I hope the put back the passport requirements so KCC and their partnerships can now what is right and what not. How were they even thinking here?
