Yes, you can connect to the AllStarLink network and use the DVSwitch app from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection. You do not need to be on the same local network as your AllStarLink node. The AllStarLink network is accessible over the internet, allowing users to connect to their nodes and talk groups from anywhere in the world. As long as you have an internet connection, you can configure the DVSwitch app with the appropriate settings, including the AllStarLink server's IP address and your node credentials. This means you can connect to AllStarLink and communicate with talk groups even if you are on a different network, such as using mobile data or connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. Just ensure that you have a stable and reliable internet connection to maintain a smooth communication experience with the AllStarLink network and other users on the talk groups.

To get started with DVSwitch on your Galaxy Note 9 and connect to a talk group using AllStarLink, you will need to gather the necessary information. Here is a step-by-step guide: 1. Node Information: After your registration with AllStarLink has been processed, you should have received an email containing your node information. This information typically includes details such as your node number, node password and node IP address. If you have not received this email, make sure to check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot find it, you can contact AllStarLink support for assistance. 2. Node IP Address: The node IP address is the address of the server where your node is hosted. It is required to connect to the AllStarLink network. The email mentioned above should also contain this information. If you have trouble finding it, contact AllStarLink support. 3. DVSwitch Configuration: Once you have the necessary information, you can proceed with configuring DVSwitch on your Galaxy Note 9. Launch the app and navigate to the settings or configuration section. 4. Host URL/IP: In the DVSwitch configuration, you will need to enter the Host URL or IP address. This should be the IP address of the AllStarLink server where your node is hosted. Enter this information in the appropriate field in the app's settings. 5. Node Credentials: You will also need to provide your node credentials, including the node number and password, in the DVSwitch app. These credentials will authenticate your connection to the AllStarLink network. 6. Additional Settings: Depending on the version of the DVSwitch app and your specific setup, there may be additional settings to configure, such as audio settings, PTT (Push-to-Talk) options and other preferences. You can refer to the DVSwitch app's documentation or seek assistance from the AllStarLink community for any specific requirements. By following these steps and entering the correct node information, IP address and credentials in the DVSwitch, you should be able to connect to the AllStarLink network and join the desired talk group.

@@stnydmrnet1167 well Allstars got back to me and said all the information is provided by the node that I'm trying to connect to. That was their entire email which left me nowhere. So with that said thank you again for trying and Allstars was of absolute no help at all, I will delete the app and forget it.
