Hi, creator of Procedural Sky Mod here. It's probably not the ProSky mod that's responsible for the tanking fps. I've made it in a way that calculation time per frame is way below 1ms, the impact on performance is negligible especially since you haven't turned realtime reflections on. I run/ran ProSky on a 1050Ti with barely noticing changes in framerate except when realtime reflections are turned on, but that's the nature of realtime reflections. Cheers mate! I was assuming it was more the lights that was doing it than the sky - we'll see. I'll try and narrow it down. I'd love to play with all of it but the occasional slideshow is no bueno. Maybe a new GPU... Lol. Thanks for making the mod, it is epic :D
There's always a possibility for that to be the case but my guess in most cases is more that it is a combination of running a heavily modded game with tons of skins that have to be stored on the GPU as well and other sorftware that runs beside the game, e.g. broadcasting software that needs the GPU for encoding. At some point you'll run into the problem of having to much stuff going on at the same time.

I love watching hyce run steam trains. I feel like in the early days he took it at least somewhat seriously, and now it's just "We don't need air brakes..... lets just empty the reservoir..... wait..... why aren't my brakes working as I belt through this yard at a billion miles an hour" It's a great laugh!

British Level crossings (or grade crossings as you call them) do in fact sound like that. Sirens are annoying and therefor more effective than the rather attractive (by comparison) sound of a bell going ding. It's the same reason British steam whistles are usually single chime, they were designed to ward people away from the train, so being shrill and unpleasant is better for safety's sake. The association of a bell in Britain is that you should go towards it, town criers, church bells, etc, are used to signal a gathering, or garner attention, which wouldn't be very safe when a train is about to come rolling through.

Been in the situation of the railway deciding to do maintenance at the level crossing? Why yes, I remember distinctly the time the MOW dudes decided that the crossing in front of work was the perfect place to take the Hi-Railler down off the rails, and not in the parking lot literally immediately opposite the grade crossing. And mixing metric and Imperial units has never caused any problems for transit ever! [cries in Gimli Glider]
I think I recognize that area around 25:15, that exact tunnel he went in is where my game lagged out super hard and my engine derailed, great first time playing 👍
Yeah that's exactly where he lagged and nearly broke everything last time he ran to harbor on a stream with these mods. Then he went in the harbor and DID break everything.
I suggest you use the Route Manager mod for express services with long routes and lots of switches between your route. It makes life so much easier, that frightening feeling for setting a switch is now eliminated in this mod.

Would be cool if they added in collision physics with the PC - so whenever you are leaning over the side of the engine into a passing sign, it decapitates you or rips off an arm or something. Would be awesome for immersion I reckon :P

I was reversing into a yard to hook up to some explody bois and my quest controller disconnected for a minute. It got super spicy real quick. Glad I had the money cheat.
I didn’t know you have to go to the station when you pick the cars! I went all the way to the goods factory and town from the harbour and town, tried to hand in the job and it said I had only met one objective (the job did not complete), I panicked.
