Funny how people are slaying the man Bassy G , the man ran 2 record shops , ran his phobia/judgement day/dance concept nights with mikey b , had his record label and played records across the country for over 20 years and hey it's rave! where we don't judge , GUY is a legend , and has done more for the "scene than most" he know's he's not the best mixer in the world but can the man deliver tune after tune ? of coarse , he was awarded best dj at some point in the 90's too , Bass Generator and Rezerection went in tandom .. those for who know ;)
Bassy G for me was always underrated also Technotrance....... Bass Generator Records made some of the best bouncy hardcore back in the day. Cant wait to see you for 1994 Event in November

The Scots had the scene sewn up back then. In Newcastle we were part of that dance culture and extended the venues. Happiest days of my life, I was 14 in 94' lol Thats where the trouble began :0

I used to be so into hardcore as a kid. I used to go to the bass generator records basement and buy the tapes and bounce around with Jussy playing on the decks. I used to go to Judgement Day in the Uni Basement Newcastle all the time. People might remember me if i say i used to have a shaved bald head apart from a really long fringe which i used to spike up like spider legs using soap! After hardcore started to die out in popularity i got the Jungle fever and i'm still rinsing out the jungle/ dnb stuff 20 odd years later. i'm having a nostalgia session... i miss the rave days of the 90's! glow sticks tucked under your shoe laces, white gloves, whistles etc.. essential judgement day attire! If only we could rewind time and do it all again!

This happy hardcore muck killed the scene for two years here in Northern Ireland, only recovered around 1997, as much as I like Scotland and the Scottish, this is one thing I wish you'd kept to yourselves lol
the tune that always gives me an e-less rush has got to be Collapse - my love (ambient drops mix) every time I get shivers down my spine, i defy anyone not shout "choon" at top of voice
Never missed a REZ ..never missed any event, party or even raves in the woods (you know) back then... the 90s was undescribable ... if you werent there you will never understand how fecking good that entire decade was....
lenny dee was to hardcore.am with driftkingmarc on this one.there were so many that ruled the scene.bassy g,mark brown,tom wilson etc.those wur the days,rez was the best raves out them all.metro best dancin after hanger 13 closed.RESPECT !!! :)

I always grabbed a bassy G technotrance or lenny dee tape at the falkirk market fookin brilliant still got them kickin aboot somewhere ended up knowin jonesey triple X but still no a patch on mc madman 😂
Rez event 3,was sick ,Dancing in a mud bath occasionally going for a swim in 50ft wide lochs full of lost jackets, cash and drugs!!!!!!OK in there but pneumonia city outside !!
