Hey! I apologize for not having researched more about you guys at Mostly bop drums but, I have been watching your videos for a while now and it's always a joy to watch you all play. Always interesting, always sounding good and the kits you feature are always great. Thanks for putting the work in for us to watch!.
First, that was super tasty drumming! Totally dig it! Second, the drums look very nice. 3, crazy cool cymbals and they sound awesome! 19" hats? Crazy!! Dig it! I have issues only with DWs marketing crap here. Purpleheart is very hard wood, and very dense. It makes a higher pitched drum; in ply, in stave-built, in steambent, it is always a high fundamental pitch. Additionally, Cherry is also harder and denser than Maple or Birch, though not as much as Purpleheart is. ---- "PurpleCore is a drum technology breakthrough that yields maximum low end response designed to compliment today's music.". Especially cus these drums were made with 9 plies. More plies also increases the pitch. Notice, I am not B'ing about anything but DWs marketing statement. John Good is an expert braggart and it is funny to me sometimes.
