After hunting nearly all of Chang Ban's bridges into near-extinction, preservation efforts are being made to prevent any more harm to these poor endangered species. Liu Bei was in jail at the time, so he didn't show up.
This cutscene only triggers after Liu Bei has passed one of Chang Ban's bridges, you are standing on said bridge, and Cao Cao's troops (SPECIFICALLY Cao Cao's) get close. Then this scene will trigger and he'll lose some morale. Not really worth all the effort, honestly, but it's a pretty cool scene with some unique lines and animations. Some of the lines are pretty good, with some good delivery. Sun Jian's I think I like the most, and I love the inflection Gan Ning's VA uses for his. Meng Huo's the only one that doesn't have his weapon for this scene, probably because it clips into him too much due to using Sun Ce's animation so they just removed them to make it look better. Zhang He's unique animations are always fun to see, like that he starts with his back turned to them, striking a pose before they've even showed up.
