I can see how constructing a video in parallel with aquascaping would interfere with finding the "flow", Balasz. Please do whatever it takes to keep your enjoyment in doing the channel. Otherwise, we all lose. This tank is a beauty. I've got to learn to stop crowding mine, and this helps show me the way.

I totally love this tank ... but that branch in the middle foreground disturbs the view to middle backround if you are watching from the front. You said you dont like direction of branches, i love it. For me it has to be kind of scattered , because nature is just like that. LOVE THIS TANK

Wood is great WO moss! Personally i had maybe added something to background? Everything else is spot on imho. Lovely you ppl still can do tweaks so everything is not same same. Impressive:-)

There is a RU-vidR in the UK who blew by Green Aqua in subscribers and has almost DOUBLE your total views, and he just makes pretty tanks and doesn't worry about whether they meet competition parameters because they aren't competition tanks.

Yup but that's a different story. Personal vlogs were always preferred by YT. Not to mention UK content is always preferred one compare the to easter EU. Other than that MD doing a great job and kudos for his work for the hobby. But this is not only about simple aquariums or contest aquariums in general. 👍

I really like the bottom left side of this scape. the overhanging wood that creates shadowy cave is absolutely stunning. i aim to something similar and this inspired me to try with wood instead of rock.

Good job, Balázs! I have 2 sugestions: A) Perspective: Why not use thin branches among the thick ones in the tank to achieve it? B) Background: Have you consider raising the plants height in the back, keeping the U-shape?

Really loving the direction this tank is headed. I agree with the comments that the background horizon needs to be elevated, with perhaps another terrace to help out. The choice of hard scape and plants is perfect, though. And I love the dwarf cichlids!

I really like the contrast between the dark color of the substrate and stones and the light green of the plants you use. I think that perhaps, you could have rised up a little bit more the background area of the path, to give more depth to the entire tank

I love this tank!! The layout, the wood and the terraces are beautiful! I would suggest, it just needs more plants and diversity of texture. You did a great job, Balazs; even though the circumstances, pinch creativity! Will be interesting to see what tweeks, you may make, in the weeks ahead.

There is no need to be apologetic for that! I know how hard it is to juggle so many things at once, especially when doing something that involves much creative thinking. When I'm building my hardscape (probably too late for this year's IAPLC submission though), I like to listen to podcast / watch Green Aqua's videos / listen to soothing music and be "in the zone". Keep on doing what you are doing mate! 🤝

Balazs, you don't have to explain to us. You are a great artist, and we appreciate you sharing your hobby with us. This is a very nice scape, and quite different to scapes you usually do. I appreciate you taking risks and attempting things outside of your comfort zone. I will be interested to see this tank in a couple months and how it develops, and maybe if it is not where you want it you can go in there and do some adjustments. I always find those videos to be very insightful. Thank you for the excellent music and production quality as always. Take care.

Idk kinda feel like the mid ground and background a little low and flat. I would raise them up to half way of the tank. The wood pieces in the foreground is perfect. Love the constract and details. And no need for moss imo.

The planted tank looks great! I show a tendency to symmetry in my layouts. But I work against that for a more natural look.

Hi Balazs, nice video as usual! In my honest opinion, I think your leading line is kinda missing (although you put the rocks terraces towards the back). The 2/3 part of the front to the middle ground is where I think the room feels empty. Perhaps by adding smaller terrace in the middle would help fill the empty space. I would do heavier planting towards the back tho to give more depth and perspective too. This is just my personal opinion :) Keep up the good job! Cheers!

Awesome to see you doing a cichlid tank. Just be sure not to use activated carbon for an extended period, as it's linked to the development of hole in the head disease in cichlids.

Sometimes, for non-competition tanks, you just have have to make a pretty tank and not worry to much about minutiae, and this is a pretty tank.

That middle small wood part that points upwards and to the right ruins the focal point of the path! Also the focal point shifted to the left circular root than the path itself. I loved the monte carlo hanging on top of the wood. Maybe have more of that than mosses.

I love it but I wish the stones in the background were more visible. Like a great mountain range that has to be crossed on some epic journey. (Think Lord of the Rings) I'm worried the plants will completely cover it up once they fill in and that wonderful detail will be lost.
