I loved the tough as nails Jimmy Johnson who as Coach of the Cowboys laid down the law and refused to tolerate or accept losing or anything less than excellence. But I'm also touched to find out these last few years that that's only one side of Jimmy Johnson, and that beneath that hard as nails exterior was and is a caring, generous and very human human being.

Well said Giants man. As a lifetime cowboy fan. The year he started w cowboys they were winners in preseason and the I saw every play of every game in 89. So bad they were. To go from there to after super bowls was amazing. I think that team was maybe greatest team ever except maybe those 85 Bears. They were bigger stronger faster than anyone. Wouldn’t that be something to see. The Dallas online vs bears defensive line. Wow.

It’s nice to see JJ and JJ get past their differences and realize that their friendship is the most important thing they have. It’s unfortunate that MJ can’t do the same with CB; Charles told the truth and it cost him his friendship with MJ because he couldn’t accept the criticism. MJ might have been the greatest basketball player but as a person he is a nasty piece of work. I went to Miami v SD St. I think it was 91 or 92. Marshall Faulk was hurt and Michael Burrow, Jesse Armstead and Darrin Smith surrounded him and were talking mad trash to him right in front of us in the end zone. The game ended in a big brawl! THE DAYS!

Now, that was awesome!!!!! When Jimmy Johnson spoke on the field during his induction into the Cowboy Ring of Honor, he sounded like he could still lead a team today. He looks awesome for a man of 80 years, he's still got more hair than most men half his age. I'm a little jealous, lol.

I am a DIE hard Steeler fan, but a lover of football first. Many years ago, my father and I got an opportunity to visit the Cowboys stadium and get a tour. We met Coach Johnson and he was truly a class act (even after learning of my loyalty to the Burgh). Congrats Coach!
