Had a point. Smith Redpath retired later that year. Webb never been an AFL level guy. Missing 4-5 depth guys isn’t that much of a loss. Collingwood always get their injuries overstated too, because guys like Wells/Beams/Dunn are very good but it’s not like they’re guaranteed best 22. Beams out for Wills probably benefitted Collingwood in the finals eventually, Dunn wasn’t as good as Roughead this year ever in a Pies jersey. Callum Brown was good for the Pies and I don’t think he would’ve got a shot if Wells played. My Dees has injury issues in 2019 but the graphics would show 15+ guys. Only Melksham Lever and May were clear best 18 guys who missed significant game time, although a few guys clearly had to play through injuries
