10 years ago we would of just called this really slow dubstep or electro with half-time drums, and because of that, this style never really got a properly defined genre back in the day. But since then everybody pulls new genre names out of thin air, renaming old genres or creating genres out of incredbly niche styles like 'vomitstep'. The whole sub genre thing as gotten really dumb. I don't think anyone would argue that this is bass music though
@@Dyaticedm I agree with that 100%. Half time drums, a focus on bass synths, close enough in tempo to regular dubstep. Wouldn't be surprised if in the future they try giving dubstep at house tempos like this a proper name. Kind of like how they called dubstep at dnb tempos 'drumstep'.
