@@JP-om3ou I personally like the Gamma core shot better. So 180r or CS3. But the new MXR is supposed to feel like a DSR and an M3 mixed which I should like. We will see
I mean to me, it's sounding like dye is adapting PEs scheme and keeping the "M" line, while making a mid and high end mech conversion marker. Multiple times from dye personel they have made it clear this isn't a replacement for the M3+, so something tells me the "D" series will be the "1__r and CS" of PE, while the "M" series is the "Geo" series. Honestly for what it provides in comparison, being almost a $150 cheaper option than the next AA using marker ($250 from the mech converting for that matter as well) and looking VEEEERY similar, I think dye is going to get a lot of customers looking their way. I know I am as a long time PE fan, having owned just about every Geo. Let the dust settle, see if it's a solid marker or had problems like the DLS, and hope freeflow gets their hands on one to make it just that much better. Of course also partner with Boston PB but I don't think I could argue price for what you get with the marker. 3 inserts, most efficient production marker, and basically cheapest high-end? Keep it up dye, drive the market back down to where it should have stayed!
@@Paintballpro18 I can see a similar business model developing, sure. I’m not a fan of the lack of wireless charging and the much smaller screen over the M3. You are getting 3 insert system and some extras like tools and trigger options.
@007joevitto44 I mean, to me I feel like it's proper upgrades, but I'm not dragging on your opinions either. To me the back of the grip is the least shot of the four sides (front, sides, and back) so to me, the rear is where I personally want my screens. Plus imo you mess with it once, and then are done. No one is actively changing it game to game, point to point. Even though smaller it still displays everything you need. The wireless charging, to me it's a pointless feature. Of course I've never owned a M2/M3, but AAs last me at least half a season, and cost a couple quarters in the big packs? If I'm hurting on the fact I have to purchase batteries when practice is at minimum 2 cases of paint, I'm in the wrong profession. Plus they did say it can run rechargable batteries so buy 4, charge 2 while you play with the other 2. Again, to me those two things I feel are 2 good steps in the right direction, don't like the whole USB stick thing but whatevs, and others are free to feel how they feel about the changes. It's an impossible game to appease everyone, you'll just go mad trying to do so.
I'm between these two what's your opinion of the shot comparison? I was hoping the mxr would shoot more like a dsr+ but it doesn't sound too loud in this video
I personally think it all comes down to how you like the ergonomics on each gun. I will say they do have a different shot but i personally like the R5 more than the MXR.
Damn they are close and I’m actually torn between the R5 and MXR because they are both $1650 in price and idk which one to get. I’m leaning towards the R5 but after seeing this comparison they are very similar. The R5 is a little quieter but the MXR is a lot sexier in my opinion.
@@williamduckworth305 I did like the mxr but i felt like the bottom of the back grip was just too thick. The shot is definitely more snappy as well kinda similar to the dsr +
@@JP-om3ouit’s going to have some type of bounce back no matter what but if you aren’t holding it tight then it’ll be more noticeable but if you are holding it tight then it won’t be as noticeable.
Don't conflate sound and feel. You're assuming the R5 is "smoother" because of the sound signature. Regardless, it's splitting hairs and doesn't matter a single bit when actually playing paintball. Additionally, what do you mean by "ball drop off?"
@@axledog7297towards the end of the shot the ball on the R5 drops a little faster then the MXR. It honestly all comes down to what you like personally!
@@hunterp_23 it's perception based on ergonomic factors and the grip to barrel axis offset. None of these markers are influencing the behavior of the ball once it leaves the barrel... This is Newton physics 101.
