Just an FYI as the color fades you might get a green cast to your hair. I have found the way to combat that is to dye my hair dark brown and then in a few months do black. However I was just getting used to your red, but I like the black so much more.

no need all you have to do is add a red shade( like an adore rinse) to the black color when mixing the black. that way it combats any undertones and makes it all one shade without worry about it fading to green😊

Looks great. I think that to add color sometimes, just add a few faux locs of the color that you want. You can attach them with a bobbie or hairpin or even lightly stitch them onto the ends of your own locs for a highlighted effect. I would not keep dyeing my own hair as eventually dye will damage your hair.

Hello. Just wanted to tell you. If you ever think about redying your hair. You should use henna! I heard it's really good for you. Strengthens your hair and it will give you the same nice shine :) Also it's natural!

Reyaunna Williams It has definitely improved in terms of how healthy it is, because I’ve been using the Palmers coconut oil serum and the Aphogee keratin and green tea spray. I don’t experience abnormal breakage anymore and my locs no longer feel dry. I also use castor oil ☺️

The only dye you don’t have to shampoo out is a rinse; not temp or permanent dye. I hope you use a neutralizing shampoo in the future. Your locs looked great in this vid.

Yes. I was a little sad when you first died it. The other color made you hair look a bit washed out to me. Of course, wear your hair the way you want and love it regardless. But the black is special.

Syann T Yes my black has definitely faded. Its been over 6 months since I dyed my locs black and I haven’t retouched. Check out my newest videos to see what my hair colour looks like now. I will be redyeing my locs at the end of the year, after I have my baby ☺️

6 boxes is excessive. I’ve been growing my locs for 12 years. It’s about 2 1/2ft and I only use 1 box once a year at the start of summer. I may increase to 2 boxes, 1 for each side just bc of my length. I do overstand you’re transitioning from a lighter color tho. Please chill with all that toxic dye and and be careful the effects of ALL those chemicals seeping into your scalp🤦🏾‍♀️ I liked that you used oil at the end. Good job👍🏾

keikei vee woah, do you mind telling me how you’re able to stretch that amount of hair dye?? I’ve been loc’d for about 9/10 years ab my locs pretty much touch my butt. I don’t want to break the bank buying tons of boxes of dyes. Last time I dyed my hair, I needed sooooo much due to get an even coat on every loc.. I would love to know a way to use less boxes. (I also have thick locs btw)

insanejane522 I just did it about 2 months and 4 boxes was jusssttt enough for me. Someone gave me the tip that you usually need a box per part in your hair. So I parted my hair into 4 sections so I knew that I would need 4 boxes. However when I do it in the future I’m probably gonna need an extra box

Zae I just dyed my locs black, yesterday. I’m surprised that I was able to dye it all with 3 boxes. I have 132 locs and they’re past mid back. I guess the extra boxes will be for when I need to retouch.
