Totally agreed, I wish metal bands would understand that they sound awesome live and would try to capture that sound in their records.

Definitely! I can't describe it well but they use lots of breakdowns and possibly were influenced by a lot of the NYDM/NYHC scene. Oh and Jon is possibly a skinhead well back then at least. Take a listen to a lot of 90s NYDM, they have hardcore strewn all over it.
