If it helps, I only just recently got comfortable with it, and still can't use it for 16ths without screwing up! Practice makes perfect, we'll both get there eventually:)

I saw it at Wacken open air in 2008 and there was more that tapping thing. Later I bought a bass and learnt this song. And there is more that tapping thing. Bass copies guitar line in that tapping.
Thank you for the kind words! Whilst I, too, love my Warwick tones - I would definitely say this is not a sound exclusive to Warwick. Pretty much any active bass with good pickups is going to be easy to replicate this sound with - the VAST bulk of this tone is the overdrive, which comes from the Neural DSP Parallax plugin.
