Also thank you for mentioning that Tolga may have saved Fatin and I certainly do hope we get more of them in DLC 2 and even though they may be narcissistic jerks but damn it we sure as hell miss them and we would want more of them in DLC 2 🥲 and also maybe Kyle crane as well as the night Hunter.😊
Except for the horror aspect, or the open world NOT being copy pasted bullshit, or the OST and the atmosphere. Those last two are up to personal preference though. @@amirali31317
In the Tolga and Fatin quest, if you don't precisely follow what Techland tells you to do it's so easy to get softlocked, and if you don't have a backup you're basically fucked.
The only things left to make dying light 2 even better (in my opinion at least) 1 survival improvements change the whole inventory , map , menu etc ui and how it appears, the whole inventory section looks like a Ubisoft rpg game maybe make a different section for them, one for the gears and one for inventory and nightrunner tools and completely rework the inventory from the rpg inventory and make it like dying light and make a progression for it like it increases with everytime you upgrade your stamina rework how the inventory ui comes up and make it like an appearing pop up page in dying light 1 that pauses the game in easier difficulties but not in the harder ones choosing weapons shouldn't stop you from running and stop the game and it should be like dl1 nerf the players stamina and health a little to not make them like an unstoppable god in the endgame the enemies actually level up and improve as you do (not like the levels system) in dying light one i feel like the more you leveled up the enemies did too like even with weapons with 5000 damage or something they might've need more than one hit to die and the volatiles were still deadly 2 parkour improvements its already great but it's a little floaty compared to the first dying light fasten the climbing animation 3 combat improvements improve the gore more and make it better and more realistic like it was in the first dying light make it able to hit the corpes as much as they're really damaged improve the physics of hitting zombies and enemies and how they react to it and the ragdolls and how they fall make the x-ray actually impactful and real like in dl1 that if you break a zombies legs it actually affects them but in dl2 it's just a cool animation 4 night upgrades : make it even darker make the volatiles actually roam and not spawn make the chases more crowded with more volatiles and zombies chasing you howlers being more and drawing more zombies and volatiles to your location buff the volatiles to be more deadly 5 : extra improvements make all the choosint dialogues in the story just play automatically or add an option for it add some more older zombie face models to make it more realistic that it's a long time since the apocalypse and some of them are older and some more normal models for them and the other enemies like renegades and others More animations for weapons so they swap between them and give them more variety and more animations for parkour moves Improve and fix the flashlight actual dynamic day and night cycle make the thugs surrender when you point a gun at them (maybe not the renegades or maybe they do it randomly or no make the bullets have effect on the zombies parts like if you shoot their legs they struggle at walking These will just make dying light 2 so good
My biggest issue with the 2nd year anni is that it made the first DLC free, which has made my purchases 2/3 that were made free. At this point I'm not going to bother purchasing anything else until they do something for those that bought the DLC. Also the ultimate edition for DL2 is not even worth it now since you can get everything from it from the reloaded edition aside from the special costume. AKA the ultimate edition is currently a scam.
From someone who’s on a budget, you’re complaining about $10 from a year ago, if you don’t like it here, then you must hate gaming in general considering nearly every game does it. Plus for some it’s beneficial, but it’s your decision after all
The whole game is a scam and I don't even know how people still play this crap. (I am here because RU-vid "wonderful" algorithm on recommended stuff so don't come at me "-why you are here then?"- 🤧
In a perfect world, I reckon Techland would actually change the story in the hopes of it being a fantastic story with actual good writers, but let’s all face reality people, Techland is never changing the story.
I honestly agree that the story is terrible. But your talking about mocapping new cutscenes, new dialogue, new side quests that makes sense for the new story to intertwine with the world and lore. Which took them years to do. They can't just overhaul the story later down the road while also having to work on DLC2 which is taking place after Aiden leaves Villedor. Then to just technically retcon the main story, which will then confuse many about the story of DLC2. You've seen that they "tried" to make it better by adding/replacing cutscenes, removing corny dialogue etc. But that's as far as they can go with addressing the already existing story.
@@Dystopian_Phantom_595 well, they need to do something if they expect people to want to pick the game back up again, as much as I used to love dying like one, I have no faith in Techland as a company to deliver any good games/updates now after they released dying light two in the state that they did. Techland can do what they want but with the story being so horribly written, that’s always going to drag the game down drastically because they’re going to have to write around that.
DL2 story is not bland, it's trash. Dying Light 1 story was bland, it suffered from the Main Quest being way too short (Only 13 Missions). The Following was kind the same, good story, just too hort. DL2 story however, is legitimately terrible. The writing in the whole game is atrocious. I will never, ever, forget that awful Love interest character, whatever her name was, that is shoved down your throat and in one mission she literally comes to you, gets mad at you for 0 reason then orders you to go find her a new pair of shoe and your character is like "Yes, Queen, right away, Queen.". That's the moment me and my friends all went in unison "Who the f wrote this sh*t!? Who thought this would make ANYONE like this character!?".
The game gave me a PK crossbow and bolt variations when I joined another player(from a random glitch). Later on I rolled back my story knowing that I would lose it, but instead it just reset me to directly before I got it. This makes me think that we shouldn’t even lose anything.
E3 that and E3 there Techland HAD to change the game is not because they wanted too stop yapping because it will never happen and a group of modders won’t bring the full E3 version back, Dying light 2 currently is far better then the first game if you dont think this way then your either blinded by nostalgia or is just your opinion and the retail also has better graphics then E3 as E3 will probably have flaws when it release like dying light 1 E3 looked like a high graphic Roblox game and you could easily spot the reused DL1 assets and bugs in the demo gameplay and in the e3 2018 version, Just wait for the best it is only been 2 years you need to cope and accept the fact that dying light 2 stay human is going for a different route and Techland is also aiming for a grittier and scary look as they are also changing models and map areas they listen to what fans wants and what they intend to do in the future this game has more potential then you think even though is dead it doesn’t matter cause is literally a single player based game, These fans are never gonna be satisfied and will always bargain on Techland and is sad Techland never gets a break from their fans.
@@RavsT "Blinded by nostalgia" This is the sentence that no one takes seriously, Sometimes old is gold if we go with your logic then TWD destinies is better than RDR2 because 5 year difference.
@@RavsT And I'm talking about E3 definitive mod so let people make mods and don't attack people for making mods to restore e3. Sounds like you're harassing people for trying to make a mod. Even Techland supports Renaissance and E3 defintiive mod for attempt of e3.
It’s because of people like that this industry is dying even if they put it in your s u will still play the dlc and makes sense it’s not like you have things going on in your life to be able to just stop playing games. Why would they change? They will make an half baked game and you los ers will still buy it

This wasnt a new update. This was a cover about the T&F quest that came out 2 months ago. First time ever i have disagreed with you on so many things. However, im glad you like it. 👍
They have made a lot of improvements sure but the game is still boring with not much to do. I can still play dying light 1 for hours and have a blast but not dying light 2. Once DLC 2 comes out and 100% it im done. There is something missing in dying light 2 that dying light 1 had that keeps me going back to it
@@subinj9174 a lot of the characters are very unlikeable. Specifically the “free folk” they really push you towards this faction and punish you if you side with PK. They line the story up to make you look like the bad guy if you choose this faction. Either way I enjoyed the characters better in the first for sure. Just been my experience tho
@@homelander2243the survivors in the beginning are assholes so I always go with the PK but I tend to side with the inner loop free folk afterwards cus they don’t want me dead :)
You photo shop too well, there is a guy in the facebook dying light group that genuinely thinks you can get a war thunder mission from the pk board 😂😂😂
"Mia's coming too" hmm... So even if Mia is not his real sister and Waltz isn't his father, it seems like they are still somehow connected, maybe Waltz is a friend of Caldwell's family and this is why he took Aiden in our main universe? I mean, Alternative Aiden with a normal life could also be "adopted" by Waltz, but the "Mia's coming too" seems like she is his really good friend or maybe even a girlfriend somewhere else. It's fascinating how many things we still doesn't know. I hope that we will be able to discover the truth behind our Aiden AND to continue discovering this whole "DLverse".
Big issue i have is that when i upgraded my schematics for my knives and bandages i assumed i was crafting these whenever i went to my consumeable and throwable wheels and crafted bandages and daggers. After a while though i realized they didn't seem better and when i looked i realized it was using the same Level 1 schematic for each and i had to use them up and then go to the actual crafting menu to craft and replace them with the better versions.
I haven’t played DL2 for several months, so forgive me if it’s explained in the game…but Tonga and Fatin died in DL1 the following, so how are they back?
I will be honest. I was not a fan of the Tolga and Fatin quests, I love the characters, but the story in my eyes where too goofy for what Dying Light 2 was supposed to be, because again it sways away from the infected threat and the survival of humanity, plus not to mention half this new quest was just fetch quests. just my 2 cents no hate, nice video Oni.
The “Leap Before You Look” side quest about Tolga and Fatin reminded me of the last mission of Starfield. In Starfield you have those teleportation ryfts, a woman named “Sarah,”doppelgängers, and you fight your doppelgängers and Starborn at the end. 🤷♂️
The game gave me a PK crossbow and bolt variations when I joined another player(from a random glitch). Later on I rolled back my story knowing that I would lose it, but instead it just reset me to directly before I got it. This makes me think that we shouldn’t even lose anything. All my stuff, gone.
I have a feeling that no matter what Techland does and how much they improve DL2 so people won't give it ANY props hell some complain about stuff that's in 2 but also in the first game and flat out ignore what the sequel does better, i do think some more funny unrealistic aspects can be weaved into the "realism"
Agreed, while they still deserve to be criticized when they make a change that the community doesn’t like. The “passionate” community comes off as a bit divided at times. “It’s still not e3 so it’s not good”, “This update was trash cause of some things I didn’t like”, “Ugh just give us dlc 2”, “Dying Light is still better, no I won’t acknowledge what DL2 does better” I see the Dying Light community as half and half, one side actually cares to give constructive criticism and wants the game to succeed while the other half just complains without caring enough to give proper reasons as to why, or not caring to see the good the second game has to offer.
@@son-of-1810 Or DL2 critics outright bend the truth to fit their narrative. Case in point the story comparison argument. DL1 was rightfully panned for being sub-par, cliche and outright annoying with 1D characters that were only carried by amazing voice actor performances by literally everyone. Even people who loved the game liked me admitted the story was the worst part. Even the following DLC was a major flop story wise (except for the last moments), being mostly just reputation grind and fetch quests disguised as "mystery". Yet I noticed as soon as DL2 launched, suddenly all critics would call DL1s story outright good and innovative, and therefore better than DL2. What a joke lmao. At the very least I've seen people enjoy DL2's supporting characters like hakon and aitor for their actual identities. Not once did I see the same sentiment for DL1's where jade was liked purely for rule34 hot woman badass trope (until she conveniently becomes the other trope of damsel in distress), Rahim was kind of a joke and the actual likeable characters such as Breken and Karim had non-existent screentime.
I personally don’t like the multi universe open rift stuff. I get dying light 2 isn’t that realistic at all but this is taking it too far now. Why not expand on what they had in the first game. Tolga and Fatin are great examples of that but what I want to see are the sentient Volatiles. Give us a story surrounding them. Maybe they are their own group that are outcasted from all survivor groups and had to come to terms with being monsters. Hell maybe even Crane could be the leader of that group as a night hunter, who knows. I just think the game has more interesting stories to tell revolving the infected instead of the generic multiverse garbage I’m tired of seeing.
From what I’ve seen the quest looks alright, but it’s absolutely outlandish so I just don’t consider it cannon. Edit: and yes, I think the argument between who gets the water is more interesting because it’s fitting for the world you’re playing in. Not saying the multiverse quest is bad, if it were from a different game with themes related to it I’d probably love it
You’re right, that quest is not what I want to see in dying light, and I hope they don’t do something like that again, but I appreciated how LONG it was and the retuning characters, I don’t really have any complaints for the mission, just not my type of mission
Am I the only one whose not a particularly big fan of the Tolga and Fatin missions from a gameplay perspective? Like I do like the bizarre multiverse storyline quite a lot, but I've so far found the quests to be more frustrating than actually fun. I don't really like using the weird goggles to find the various areas on the map with multiverse tears and I also found being trapped in the alternate realities to be pretty unfair in certain cases, particularly with how in one of them you get warped into an area with volatiles that you have to fight in order to progress and that just gets worse each time you die and don't get the items you used on those fights each time you reload the previous checkpoint because of how the game is designed with its respawning. I haven't actually finished the overall quest arch yet to be fair so I hope it gets better, but so far its left a pretty meh first impression on me.
I just finished my first play through of this game and I loved it. I’m somewhat new to gaming. So when the original came out, at that point, the last game console I’d owned was a Sega Genesis. 😂 I didn’t get another console until 2018 when I got a PS4. I bought both dying light games and I couldn’t get through the first one. Loved the second. Maybe it’s because I don’t have a biased or nostalgic view on the original. Either way, I loved this game. Had a blast.
Nah g, I've been playing on hard difficulty since launch, with the most recent update I gotta wait a couple minutes for my stamina to regenerate ( I have all inhibitors and perks )
It was a ok quest but my bigest complain is the goggles vision. Seeing everything in black and grey with that strange effect that I don't know to call it is very... uncomfortable
Techland if you read this. We LOVE YOU GUYS. Thank you for keeping your promise and getting this game right. i am looking forward to your updates. You guys supported first game way beyond what anyone expected. You have my full trust. Now it's time for me to kick some volatiles ass with homies....or get cooked by them by missing that leap.....I keep forgetting to use roll when landing. lol Edit: PLEASE bring back BTZ. I could only imagine how that would work in Villador with tall building in loop and VNC towers.
I hoped they would made the volatiles much faster in the nightmare mode. You just have to way for them to chase you or you end up the chase when you dont want to
I knew that the Guns would come back in 2024, 2 years later after the game's release. Still Waiting for more context but for now, I'm gonna start blazing with Guns!
At first I was waiting for a sale, then I saw the big improvements for gore/animations etc. So now I'm just waiting for a definitive edition to play it when it's finished.
I have started a new game on nightmare, stuck now on x13 mission, cutscene won't load! Can't even start a new game plus now to fix! Over 500 hours! I love the nightmare difficulty too :( please fix the x13 bug techland! Please?
Honestly I prefer the water quest, if done right if you spend enough time with each group that decision could be extremely difficult all the teleporting and multiverse rips is just completely tone altering it's like saints row 4 it's just a bad taste in my mouth. It's not meant to be a silly zombie game it's meant to be grounded version of a modern dark age i love the modern medieval aesthetic.
I hooe they fix vaulting on enemy specially when you are running trough a dark zone because the vault feels so slow and you dont even go over you just stay there
i dont think tolga found another fatin with the written note, i think the note was written before they died, considering they speak in future tense together
I think we still waiting a surprise like u can create a third faction and those survivers u help out there can be recruitable to it and make own structures by buying stuff or something like that and equip members with those amounts of armors and weapons instead to sell them for money or just drop them something like that but i guess thats a dream that never come true in this game 😢😢😢
i was happy wen tolga and fatins quest was over, it was so boring in my personal opinion and so ground breaking over the top that i dont even wanna do it again in any new play through
Just played the quest, it was a good idea but it was executed terribly, just a constant back and forth collecting items with tedious ways of going about it, also disappointed that the twins never referenced Kyle or anything from the first game
The problem is, Dying Light wasn't "wacky and silly". It was a serious game. From the first game to this one. This franchise took itself seriously. This... Is not that.
In my opinion the mission with the two was kinda meh....The main problem was the going to the same places like 3 times...I was just like..."Damn they really want me to go to these places again and again?" after a while it was a chore...the cutscene where good tho.
Tolga and Fatin, weapons, guns, finishers....not really an "INSANE" update dude, i mean it's cool that we get guns and the twins but that's it really But ya know what'll be a real insane update?.....if they gave us The Chris Avellone cut or at least let him finish the freaking the story or whatever he was working on.....that will be a REAL insane update to dying light 2 man...hope it happens one day
Hey man maybe you can do a video on how to Dying Light 2 could handle a Night Hunter Mode and maybe a new zombie with move sets like Aiden's fury state that I call Night Stalker
One of my best content creators on YT. Sometimes i rewatch your videos but using them as a podcast to sleep (maybe itt's kinda weird xD) You deserve more Subs than this dude P.S: you're way cooler with glasses keep 'em on they're better than lenses
Votes for another side quest like this but instead it is Kyle crane and he went threw a rift because of this quest and ended up in dying light 2 and you have to help him get back to his reality(can only get this quest after completing the tolga and fatin one) 👇
LOL, unpredictable, really @OniZombies? All these concepts have already been done. I respect the fan service and bringing characters back in some way amusing like most players, but the "join the dark side or don't" is a basic formula from the entire Disney universe. You have to be real dense to find this story breaking ground in the zombie-apocalypse genre. I wouldn’t say it’s lazy, but the "what if" scenario of Aiden being the bad guy is not giving a second wind to his personality, at most, if any at all. This entirely comes from how we as the player are given choices in a set path in this story, but unfortunately there aren't many paths to take, and there is one likely being a true path with a better story ending that most will argue. The story in general is subjective, of course. It’s only there to bring in a younger audience to continue a cult-like following to the game for those who never heard or have somewhat of a familiarity with the concept. It’s probably a lot to ask for in a DLC update, but if you’re pulling a multiverse card, then you should bring the full deck and give me more options than the milquetoast good and evil question. They could’ve been more interesting, they could’ve brought a Rick & Morty morality question to the world and asked if the one we are in is the current one we started from. Hell, they could’ve brought in a more in-depth character customization of Aiden. It’s hard for me to personally get immersed in this world because it’s a first-person white guy playing the protagonist, which unfortunately, in my case, has always been a fantasy. Joking aside, I don’t feel much of a impact then fan-service and desperate attention seeking from this dlc & that’s unsettling from a player that wants more for this game.
