I go to the movies there all the time. Since the Regal at Greenbrier closed, it's the only theater anywhere near me (I'd end up going to Suffolk or Pembroke (which has really deteriorated) if the Cinemark closed. But it seems to be doing well. Great crowd for the 9:45 a.m. showing of Deadpool & Wolverine Saturday. And they seem to still be staffed well, unlike others. But I often walk through the mall and it's sad. About the only place left for me is Target.
I didn’t frequent it, I live a few cities over but I had last been there about six years ago. I wonder whenever I see malls in this state, what’s their end game? For instance, why is MacArthur even open anymore?
@@brucesi No word. They were supposed to have done that last year according to their last press release. JCPenney didn’t leave. The owners didn’t renew lease. Stupid if you ask me.
@@DyingRetail I've been in and out of the area. I moved back briefly in 2018 and they were talking about it then. Talk of some demolishing, new restaurants, a brewery, a warehouse (for jobs), and senior living. So far the only thing I've seen is the old movie theater being demolished.
@@brucesi yeah. That’s gone and the VA is building a services building there now. I really don’t know what they are doing next. I wonder if the economy is halting what they were going to do. Did you see the video walkthrough I did Feb last year?
