If this doesn’t fix your issue, completely unplug your printer, both the power & USB cable & leave them unplugged for 2 minutes, then plug them back in.
thejoki04 after about an hour of troubleshooting, extensive Google searches, RU-vid vids, live chats DYMO, and exhausting every ounce of meager technical knowledge in my brain, THIS is what worked. Gracias!
THANK YOU. Mine was showing as Offline and I tried everything I could think of, including unplugging and plugging back in, but I didn't wait very long, so I found this comment and tried it and IT WORKED. I'm so relieved!
OMG! Thank you SO much for this video!!! It definitely worked!!! I had an order I needed to get out TONIGHT and my partner is out of the country and I was totally freaking out! I’m so grateful for finding this video!
My problem was that the Dymo was listed in Device Manager under Other devices instead of printers. I right-clicked it and chose Update Driver. I followed the prompts and after updating the driver the Dymo was under printers where it belonged and everything worked properly. Thank you so much for this video, I wouldn't have thought of looking in device manager otherwise.
Thank you for your video. Question please. After my first spool change it stopped printing. The trouble shooting is saying the USB is too old. Its brand new. It has been working. It also is feeding 2 labels at at time. Do you have any ideas? Thank you.
lwfix.dymo.com/EN/index.html Try this link due the USB too old error. There are troubleshooting steps there. Sometimes generic labels feed wrong, Try this for the feeding issues: www.dymo-label-printers.co.uk/news/troubleshooting-dymo-labelwriter-prints-blank-labels-or-advances-incorrectly.html
Sorry, had a football game on, lol. This fix is for if you’ve never installed your Dymo to your computer before, you have to update drivers in the device manager under printers or other devices. If you’ve been using your printer, & it suddenly won’t print, unplug all cables from the back of the printer, power included, & let it sit for 5 min. While waiting, restart your computer. Plug all back in & should be good.
They've switched the software to Dymo Connect, and although Windows 10 sees the printer, this software does not. Working on finding a solution. The drivers will not download on the website. When you click, nothing happens.
Thank you for the update. I’ve noticed whenever you plug it in now that Dymo Connect opens, but I never use it to print. I always use windows print window from Ctrl-p.
Dymo doesnt show up under printers. It doesnt show up anywhere even though I downloaded the latest Dymo Connect for my LabelWriter450 and even though I have turned it off and on and ensured it's all connected. I dont get it. :-(
I am sorry to hear that, it’s frustrating. If you’re running Windows 8 through 11, the Dyson site says you should be using Dymo Connect v1.3.2.18. s3.amazonaws.com/download.dymo.com/dymo/Software/Win/DCDSetup1.3.2.18.exe
Mine started doing that too. The only fix I could find is when you click print, & the print box opens, instead of printing to your printer, download the file as PDF, or change the drop-down to save as PDF. Then you can open it in Adobe & change the zoom, checking it with print preview to get it to your liking, then print from Adobe. It’s frustrating.
I tried installing on my laptop but get the error "USB device not recognized." I followed the instructions on how to install from the beginning but Dymo does not show anywhere in Device Manager. I thought it might be my computer so tried it on my wife's. Same thing. Dymo does not show up anywhere, just "USB Device not recognized" error. I have been emailing the company and that is a joke as they keep telling me to go to Dymo in the device manager. It is not there, I have checked all the misc device folders looking for it. Again, just shows a USB device not recognized.
If it doesn’t, go into device manager, click Universal Serial Bus, right click on each item in there & try update each driver. If that doesn’t work, try disable each one, then enable & try again. If that doesn’t work, right click each usb & select uninstall each, then restart computer & go back in there to install each & try again.
Go to Devices and Printers in Start > Print server properties (on the top) > Drivers button. There you should be able to install the driver for your printer.
Have you tried to completely unplug it from power, & unplug the power cord & USB cord from the back of the printer? Unplug them all & let it sit for 5 min.
