All those Webers and no Weber Smokey Mountain? I'm tempted to get the wide body Dyna Glo. Do you think it's better than the WSM 22? Thanks.

They are both different. I love my Wide Body for big parties, I can get 16 racks of ribs in it. It doesn't hold temp as consistent as some of my other grills so I don't use it for brisket or butts. I've never used a WSM but hear great things.

I think I'll just get a cheap paintbrush and use that, then toss it

How do you like your Dyna Glo? I've heard they won't reach temps over 200 degrees or so in cold weather...have you experienced that? Thanks!

I'm working on a video showing how I seal mine with lava lock and high heat caulking for all the seams and doors. I've heard the same thing about cold weather. I've seen people use welding blankets to keep them warm in the winter. I haven't tried it in super cold weather yet, but have had no problems at 50 degrees plus weather. I really like it for large cooks. Like most grill addicts I own several grills and smokers and they all serve a different purpose. The vertical offset is my go to smoker for large parties. I've done 15 racks of ribs in it in one cook. Hope this helps!

@@bbqguy8752 Thanks for the reply. Any idea how many hours you get out of a full basket of charcoal for a brisket or pork butt cook? Thanks!

@@robolive123 You'll need to add fuel to the cook every few hours. I sure wish the fire box was bigger!

@@bbqguy8752 can you burn wood splits?
@bbqguy8752

@@hinds90 definitely, make sure you are using wood that's good for smoking! I use splits often. You want to get a few going until they turn to red hot coals, then you can add wood as needed to keep temp. What kind of wood are you thinking of using?
