Well I havea yellow waco 50 inc . Well I crashed and it's together again . Well what would be the best way to henge alerons and elevator . I have nice little nylon metal hing but glue does not stick to them . Anyway I need a little push in the wright direction .G
cool..... just got one for christmas.... I already assembled it.... what a awsome looking plane.... probably wont be able to fly it yet.... way to cold with snow up north in Ohio.... cant wait to see yours in action.....
Also noticed no venting in the battery compartment. Solved that, drilled a 3/8 hole thru the front to the battery and cut the plastic out between two cylinders!
That gives the screw's something to bite in to and hold better. Where there are threads you need to use locktite so the screw's won't back out bacause of vibrations.
Nice model, QA still a bit suspect as still churning these out with warped surfaces, fairly easily fixed but not really the point as you would expect better quality.
She is still flying and looks like new. None of my surfaces were warped. Our other pilot, Capn' Rick just bought another Dynam Waco to replace his previous demolished one. It had no warped surfaces either and flies great.
Then you are the lucky ones. various online rc groups have commented on the warped surfaces on this model, inc mine which had a warped horizontal stab that I fixed.
No warped surfaces on mine Nov17 do not use lock tire on strut bolts it makes the plastic brittle over time a dob of PoR or similar on the not will stop them loosening. Flew perfect straight out of the box a real delight.
