What is the difference between two ERP Microsoft systems - Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management?

Very very tough video. You clearly should state in the beginning that Finance & Operation the way how you look at it is more related to manufacturing/producing enterprises. Would you recommend it also for ordinary dealers?

nice video but correction on BC: Fixed Assets and Machine Resources are OOB. Also you can operate WMS and production modules on tablets OOB without extensions.

Thanks for your reply, By "Asset management" capabilities we meant not only Fixed asset financial accounting or Machine resource planning. But also dedicated module to plan maintenance and repairs of assets, field services resources and integration with production operations. Everything related to end to end Asset lifecycles. Find more details under the following link: Asset management overview - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn - learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/asset-management/ Sure you can run basic application web-client on a tablet as if your are working on desktop (that's the beaty of browser-based clients). But regarding WMS and MES UI in Dynamics SCM we mentioned dedicated apps that are optimised to use on mobile devices. Especially in terms of WMS, Dynamics 365 SCM has native android/windows/iOS apps to run on typical warehouse handheld and it's highly configurable and optimised for warehouse workers. If you have to perform 3-5 operations on typical RF gun it's not that user friendly to use ERP browser-based client. At a time we run this video native mobile apps didn't exist for BC. Thank you for your attention to our video! Indeed, BC offers Device license (for one shared device usage between multiple users) and Team member (almost read-only) similar to SCM & Finance. But as of now we haven't seen in BC offering something similar to Operations-Activity user-assigned license in SCM&Finance, which is mentioned in the video.

Guess this is a tricky video. There are a lot of unproved statements :). let take one as example. If scope is similar Cost for BC and F&O should be same. where this is coming from? is it Microsoft product specific statement or it works for all ERPs? Epicor, SAP, Oracle, BC and F&O will cost the same in implementation for same scope? In my company implementation of MS NAV(Setup + integrations + customizations: for 11 companies across 5 localizations) costs 2 times lower then ongoing migration to F&O for same scope of processes and integrations but only for one company so far. lets see how much $ it will be when we will have all 11 onboard in F&O. Thanks for your reply, if scope is similar Cost for BC and F&O should be same" - this statement was giving regarding to cost of implementation services (licensing cost, ISV purchases, etc. is another topic). The term scope is used from broad perspective - business processes, users, legal entities, integrations, locations etc. We don't see the reason why the same scope in BC vs F&O in terms of implementation services (configuration, migration, user training, development, etc.) should be dramatically different? The main difference between the two, from the customer perspective, is the cost of licensing for the small amount of users, how much features has been provisioned out-of-box for the selected industry and its ongoing scalability. Both platforms are very versatile technically. We can't comment on SAP & Oracle because it's way another topic. If you've been charged two times more for the same scope - unfortunately that the question to the quality of services and your implementation consulting provider, and to mutual understanding of the scope for both projects.
