Master magician Dynamo pops up at Glastonbury and performs some card trickery on Lauren Laverne and Huw Stephens. Visit the BBC Glastonbury website for more videos and photos www.bbc.co.uk/g...
Both of them were watching him do stuff with the cards. That's how card tricks work: the magician directs people's attention to one place while he does his crafty stuff "out of view" so to speak
I can't say I know how he forced the card in this performance but I know a simpler way which is; 1. Fake shuffle so the bottom card that you've peaked at and know what it is ends up at the bottom at the end of the "shuffle". 2. Tell them to cut anywhere. 3. Tell them to put where they cut to on the table and place the other half on top. 4. Distract them for a good minute, "We haven't set this up right I haven't forced you to pick that card because you cut to wherever you like and all I did was shuffle the cards, and no one not even you have seen it yet and what I want you to do is very simple," etc. 5. Tell them to take the card at the bottom of the top half of cards on the table which is in reality the bottom card of the entire deck that you know, e.g. the 5 of hearts) 6. Tell them to put it somewhere where no one can see it at all. 7. Then do the whole invisible deck procedure. *Clap clap you've done it*
Simple, he didn't. Tell me which colour to take for the imaginary card. Red. I'm taking the red cards, so it's a red card. Tell me which colour to take for the imaginary card. Black. I'm taking the black cards away, so it's a red card. He knows which card it is by looking through the cards that are left, impressive that he can do it that fast.
