Season 1's cliffhanger was Alexis unexpectedly showing up at Blake's trial. I finished watching season 2 now, for the first time. The cliffhanger was Fallon and Jeff having their baby stolen, Cecil Kolby having a heart attack, and Blake having fallen off his horse unconscious.
What great TRASH television of the late 70's and early 80's, those cliffhangers had you talking for days...you notice now how almost every sitcom and hour long dramas end in cliffhangers now.
the maldovian massacre is always the dynasty's best cliffhanger,IMHO. Look at john forsythe's hair still as smart as always even in a massacre :p RIP Mr Forstythe.
The Season 3 cliffhanger omits the best line of the whole scene--Alexis turning to Krystle in exasperation and saying, "This is all your fault! Every time you come into my life, something terrible happens to me!"
The best and most popular cliffhanger in "Dynasty" history, with the most disappointing results...I remember that everyone survived, except Steven's boyfriend (boyfriend number 2 to die for him!), and Jeff's girlfriend, played by Ali McGraw...
It was raining that night. Fallon almost ran into a transfer. Truck everything went on that night we all thought Fallon was dead she crashed she had headaches that's why she. Left
@MrDianaprince, They're all unconcious because the viewers were supposed to be left wondering who survived and who didn't. The season finales were usually big, over-the-top cliffhangers that were more suspenseful than the usual episode endings. This "Dynasty" Royal Wedding Massacre 1984-1985 season finale is THE KING OF ALL CLIFFHANGERS.
@greekcreek But Aaron Spelling was greedy... Given that Dynasty was number 1, he thought it was useless spending more money on a show which was ALREADY succesful... Therefore: no nurses, no rescue, no helicopter, nothing. He thought that the audience was so addicted to Dynasty that everything, including a cheap season premiere, would be bought by the viewers. He was wrong...
I’ve done a search on RU-vid for full episodes of Dynasty but I can’t find anything, only these shorter clips - is there any way that I can find anything longer than 20 mins?
You're right...Fallon was hit by a drunk driver in the parking lot of La Mirage. After learning Peter De Vilbis was a crook Fallon went running out of the hotel. She was paralyzed temporarily. The shock of seeing L.B. following his toy toward the water...snd the fear he would fall in the pool shocked her into action...She ran to her son, keeping him from falling into the pool.
This was not part one, it's was part five or six ! I remember in the 80`s a great tv programme. One of the best ever! I like john forsythe, linda evans, and of cours joan collins.
Claudia started the fire during the 6th season (1986 cliffhanger) - this was a triple header cliffhanger which also featured Sammy Jo and Amanda having a catfight in the La Mirage pool around the time when the fire started plus Alexis kicking Blake, Krystle & Krystina out of the mansion which causes Blake to snap and start strangling Alexis.
the biggest issue with Dynasty wasn't the Moldavian massacre it was the recasting of Fallon and then taking Jeff with her to the Colbys. I actually like the whole Moldavian story line but Emma Samms was not a successful recast as Jack Coleman as Steven.
Absolut empfehlenswert. Ich hab es gesehen als ich meinen Mann kennengelernt habe, es war eine fantastisch Zeit weil ich Dienstag immer verboten wurde abends raus zu gehen denn wir hatten leider kein west Fernsehen nur mein Mann. 😂😂😂❤ 5:22 5:24 5:25 5:26 5:30
I guess they waited till te wedding is over either because: a) even if terrorists were such gentlemen or b) they originally wanted Michael to live and rule with his new queen...
Joan Collins in her autobiography says she and Linda Evans they had laughed much on the set at the moment to play the starting the fire of the ridiculous phrase: someone deliberately set fire ... Poor Steven! him first two boyfriends were killed . . .
TheDiego, I'd been a "Dynasty" fan for most of my life, and it never clicked that Steven had two lovers that were killed!! You are right!! Damn, I'm slow!!
Yes, Kingo ... Ted Dinnard at first (he was accidentally killed by Blake) and Luke Fuller killed in the Moldavian Massacre ... But don t worry, coleague, Im a terrorific Dynasty fan but I ve forgeotten serveral details and stories ... In my country Argentina the series on original dvd never arrived , saddly . . . Thanks a lot for your comment
Hahahaaa... Thank you my friend! I ll really enjoy it! My first t.v. drama and the best one. Then I enjoyied The Colbys, Melrose Place and from nowadays Revenge (that is in my country so I get it) But Dynasty is the cult for me. Really please to me you (read you) Thanks for all. :) Loves from Argentina.
As someone else previously said, the reason they were all unconscious was to have the audience guessing all summer which characters survived the massacre.
And always love dynasty cliffhangers Fallon and Jeff's wedding night it was so sad that we. Lost Fallon that night everything was going on that night Alexis was charged with murder Mark Jennings the same night that failing got married to Jeff almost everything was going on that night it was raining that night Fallon left that rainy night she almost hit a truck
That was earlier when Fallon was hit by a drunk driver in La Mirage's parking lot which temporarily paralyzed her. This was broken when LB came perilously close to falling in the mansion's pool while trying to fetch an errant toy - Fallon's maternal love seeing this caused her to suddenly run to the pool to save him.
She is the real Fallon Carrington not. Emma samms In The Sims could not play the part right of Fallon Carrington Colby We ain't like her. She does not look like Pamela Sue Martin
Aquarius, It doesn't matter which was the most popular and longer-lasting. I'd rather have an exciting collection of a few "Dynasty" seasons on DVD, than 100 boring seasons of "DULL-AS" (Thank you for that funny spelling! Quite clever...and true!!)
No. it's 'Dull us'. I'd rather have a few 'Dallas' or 'Dull us' seasons on DVD, than 100 boring seasons of 'Dynasty'. I'd agree about Dynasty just being plain bad compared to Dallas. I don't know much about 'Dynasty' anyway, and am watching the 1st two seasons of Dynasty now for the first time. I only have a desire to see those. Whereas I regularly watched 'Dallas' in the 1980's and again fairly recently. What does it really matter anyway? I've got better things to do than petty arguments about which soap opera is better. You've got your opinion about it, as I have mine. So, we'd have to agree to disagree.
