This video is NOT about chain count, it's about continuous uninterrupted juggles/combos against officers. You should IGNORE the chain count as it makes little sense in this game, dropping when it clearly shouldn't (e.g. after musous).
This video is all about epic long combos. Includes incorporation of storm rush and awakening musou for variety, which are DW8 staples.

+Dylan Small In my opinion Zhang Bao's is Okay, but his weapon should go to a girl or at least change the moveset and his stance around.

Dylan Small Guan Xing is unsatisfying to play with, only because he has a horrible hit box to his attacks. When I play as Zhang Bao, I at least use Zhang Fei's weapon to make up for his lack of strength. And plus he is Zhang Fei 'son so why not give him the pike. I especially enjoy using his grab Musou.

Don't worry, I shot him down in 3 episodes. He's persistent to the point got banned for 5 days and still come back. Each time I replied, he was slowly turning into helpless troll. BTW, it was so embarassing that he had to make another Alternate named Burningup to stir things w/o notice but I just saw through that recently.

You can say that it's "more challenging", but to me it limits you too excessively on what you can do. Being at a disadvantage in affinity, there are only a very few attacks that can stagger. Hence, combos will not be near as interesting and cool to watch. Javelin is good for that, but I like the Boomerang better. It's easier to use and also has more powerful attacks.

DW3 was my first DW after seeing it in a magazine ad when it came out. So quite a long time. I didn't really get into DW technically until after DW5, in which before I just played the games casually. Anyways, I want you to guys to vote on what characters you want to see next in volume 2 and any subsequent volumes. Just simply comment with the character names in the comments! :)

If you're talking about the next volume, I'll definitely be putting it up this month because of Musou Orochi 2 Ultimate coming late September. I'll be too caught up with that game to focus on this game anymore. I have been putting off the 2nd volume for awhile because this game has burned me out and I've been lazy. D:

You guys seriously need to stop arguing in this video or I'll turn off comments. It's making everything a mess. Do it through PM. And for reference, this is all based on 1.02 patch, where unique officers rarely ever air musou. I only end every combo with an awakening for aesthetic purposes and to provide as much variety in them as possible. It has nothing to do with anything else.

I've read the entire topic. He's clearly so engaged with vanilla DW7 it seems he's just making random excuses, especially now that he's seen what DW8 is truly capable of. He probably doesn't even know how to correctly play the game. Ignore him. This on the other hand is an amazing show of skill and feats from wonderpierrot.

(continuing) I never said that stylish combos were completely dead on the Gfaqs boards or was I "hating on any other game besides vanilla 7", it's just that in 8 they have been extremely limited. Zhaoyun just loves to take words out of peoples mouths and I bet you anything Light Tyrant is one of his alts. Well if you want to know a bit of a background, Zhaoyun255 is a guy that thinks DW7XL was a good thing (he even calls it a "masterpiece") and will literally go out of his way to prove that DW8's system isn't inherently flawed. I find him to be literally the number one most annoying person on the GFaq boards and there are a myriad of other people who do. I apologize for starting an argument on your video, I was simply wishing to defend myself against him calling me out and hating on stylish games

Ah yes, him! >:( Seriously, I can't stand that guy! He said that the combos in this video is a "jumbled mess" when in fact it's more difficult to do, as your only combat & projectile resistance comes from awakening you have to do it carefully because those swarm of peons can easily interrupt your combo. Not to mention if there's multiple officers with multiple affinities

Do you not see what combos are going on in this video? EVERY combo has to end in an awakening or else you get air musoud. I'm fucking done arguing with plebs, this game is utter shit and that's it. I don't want to make a giant argument in Wonderpierrots videos but I'm sure he agrees.

Fixed? Issue? This created an issue, if anything. You talk so big about this video, but you don't even realize this isn't 1.03. None of this stuff is possible in your "fixed" version of the game.

ALL of these combos are ending in awakening musous so he doesn't get air musou'd, do you not see that? Watch Pierrots other videos before DW8, they were much more varied and interesting.

I had a 1961 or there abouts with CaoCao last night. Not sure it got that high however, i did use rage and the guy was against the wall lol.

how long did this take you to do? much longer than the dw7 ones i assume considering affinities, ai using air musou, and no arena.

That's not entirely correct. Remember, subsequent patches only affects unique officers and their ability to air musou out of combos. Hence, this is still all 100% possible on 1.03+ with all generic officers. Generic officers are also a lot more abundant in any given battlefield compared to uniques; they also share similar/identical health and defense stats (disregarding buffed up unique officers). To put it simply, it would be a lot easier and more frequent to combo generics than it is uniques.

I can not fathom how you play a game that is SO chaotic, so precisely!!! I mean i've been playing mousou games since dw3 and this blows me away. Ive been coming back to this video for like a week now and I STILL cant do a SINGLE ONE of these combos 🤦🏾

Awakening itself doesn't cancel anything; it just gives you some stat boosts. Musou in awakening works in the same vein as regular musou, so yes, it does cancel your attack animation. Btw, thanks for all the votes coming in. I didn't realize this many would be voting. Looks like I have some tallying and studying to do lol.

Yes, I avoid using overpowered weapons, especially ones with wind and flash, otherwise you can't really get a long enough combo on chaos. Then there would be nothing cool to see.

Zuo Ci talisman cards on both weapon slots, switch attack causes an infinite juggle and holy shit it's one of the highest damage dealing attacks he has.

at first glance i thought the dw7 combos were better, required more skill, and were more stylish but then i got to sun jian and relized just how much they have improved this game. though from watching all your vids i knew that awhile ago :) you have earned a like and a subscriber, though i am already subscribed so know i would subscribe again if i could :D

cool dw3 was my first dw too and in my mind it still the best dw but dw8 looks like it could be a bit better ( i played dw3, dw5 empire, dw6, dw7 and dw7 xtreme legends)

You may want to take advantage of being able to juggle already airborne enemies who are at advantage(as in they beat your affinity). It may be a bit harder, but that's the challenge right? Also is Wen Yang's Javelin the best weapon for any weapon switch that knocks the enemy away?

I like your Xiahou Dun combo, but the combo i use for him i think is longer and i am not sure if it does more damage, though i do use weapon affinities as to extend it and dash cancel out of them. i think it's along the lines of about 250 hits.
