A walk through of the dynamic propeller balancing process with the Dynavibe GX3 from RPX Technologies, while we complete a balance on our 1947 Stinson 108-1 equipped with a Franklin 6A150B3 Engine and McCauley 1A170/DM7450 Propeller. Different engine manufacturers have a slightly different procedure for adding the weights, but the concept is the same. Will make your aircraft smoother, and more enjoyable to fly, increase engine longevity.

Fantastic video! You can even see a difference in the vibration while filming after the propeller balancing. This sounds like a great way to get a smooth ride and save maintenance costs on a plane. We have a bunch of guys in Troy who might be interested if you would be willing to fly 50 miles south.

DKC aviation balanced my propeller and it made a huge difference in how smooth my Franklin engine felt while running. My 108 is the smoothest running aircraft I have flown besides a turbine and it's even smoother than most of the turbo props. Well worth the time and money.

It would have been nice to see how you loaded the instrument, how you made any determinations, how you did anything. What are any of the numbers, are you flying with weights on the outside of the spinner? Did you do another run after moving the weights inside? on the backplate? Please teach us!

Great video! I’ve got the earlier DynaVibe and was getting ready to do my Velocity with its new prop and searched some videos as a refresher. I watched Scooter’s videos on his channel on Great Michigan Bush Company and watched your adventure in the purchase of your Stinson. We are also in the market to a Stinson from the Velocity we built. Thanks.
