We installed the cat-back only section of our F8X GTMore exhaust onto a customer's F80 M3 dual purpose street/track car and did some back to back testing between the BMW M Performance Titanium exhaust and our lighter, more powerful, and louder BimmerWorld GTMore system. The results confirmed what we already knew from extensive testing throughout our GTMore project - its better in every category. Even with stock cats, intake, and tune it still creates more power everywhere! Keep in mind the comparison here is against an almost $6,000 piece made of extremely lightweight titanium and our sub $2k cat-back is even lighter and makes more power!

That is aggressive. Sounds awesome. Are these dual 3” pipes or 2.75”? And is the full exhaust the same sizing from the primary cats back?

Yes 3" all the way out. Through countless revisions and dyno testing we found this was necessary to promote flow and get the gains we wanted to see out of the system.

Is the loudness comparable to stock system with valves open? Or yet another level??? Very tempted by the weight savings and price point. Slightly worried I’ll piss off my neighbors on those 5am runs to VIR 😂😂😂

I would say at start up, idle, light throttle its similar to valve open on the stock system, yes. But at full song it definitely has more bark. So as long as you aren't going WOT at 5a through the neighborhood I don't think they'll hate you anymore than they already do. ;) If you have a tune to kill cold start they wont even know you're there.

What is the 50 foot db on the exhaust with catless DPs?

Thats honestly not something we've measured. During One Lap of America we did run only the cat-back just like this video so we wouldn't be in danger of being over the db limit at certain tracks. It's certainly louder in full track-only setup without cats, but I don't have a db measurement for you, sorry.

Does the S55 need aftermarket cams in order to make linear power all the way to redline?

Definitely not. They do tend to fall off a bit up top on stock tuning, but our go-to people for S55 tuning, Motiv Motorsport, does an awesome job of finding as much power as safely possible while also giving you a really strong powerband up to 7k.

Is this exhaust available for the f87 m2 comp?

This exhaust was only designed with the F80/F82 in mind, but we do believe it could be configured to work with a F87 if the installer has some customizing/fabrication skills. Will it be a direct plug and play, no.

The GTMore catback was 11lbs less than the M Performance Titanium system ($5,600) we were comparing it to. It's much more than 11lbs lighter than a stock steel exhaust system. Phil just misspoke in the video.
