I have had both and I sold my Dyson because I felt like the round brush was too small and I didn't like that I could only curl my hair while it was wet. If I had to re-curl it the next day I would have to use a different tool because it wouldn't hold in my hair if it was dry. But I got the T3 Airebrush on Black Friday and I'm obsessed with it! Even the paddle brush it comes with is great and dries my hair fast!
I totally get what you’re saying!!! My hair is the same way, I only wash it once a week so I try to keep the same style the whole week and I’d definitely have to use another hot tool the day after curling my hair with the dyson. I’m so happy you love the T3 because I feel the same way!!
I have the dyson but use everything except the brush attachments because they do nothing except get tangled in my hair. Even when blow drying I use the T3 round brush and it grips the hair so well. I’ve just purchased the airbrush duo specifically for the brush attachments. The Revlon was too big and too loud so had to rehome it! T3 products do deliver and not just aesthetically.
Your Dyson side looked amazing on camera. As did your Dyson curls on the insert you did. However I think what only you can see and feel counts for a lot and you did seem to like the T3 side. I can see how the T3 must be easier to use with the long bristles. Perhaps you should do another one to see how each side holds up over a day or two - that would be interesting. I really want to get both the T3 and the Dyson!!
You could buy the T3 Airebrush Duo and the T3 interchangeable curling irons/wands (like the base plus two barrels) for about the same price as the Dyson! I feel T3 is so much more bang for your buck, a super well designed, mind blowingly good product vs a gimmicky, trendy tool that doesn’t quite blowdry or wave the hair very well.
I think the Dyson firm smoothing brush works much better than the round brush. You can bend it around your hair to add volume. It pulls the hair in, like the barrels. Works faster too. Sometimes I go in with the round brush a little at the end, but the firm smoothing brush is wear it's at for me!
I have my white T3 hair dryer and I noticed it adds volume to my hair, no frizz and it makes your hair looks healthy and shiny. So you are right the T3 air brush makes your hair smoother , softer, healthier and more shinier. I can tell the your T3 is much easier to use and brush is much bigger and quieter to use.
I just bought the t3, I haven’t used it but I’ve been waiting for a video like this. Thanks for uploading! I think the t3 looks way better, voluminous, shinier, professional.
I got the dyson and I don’t know what to do , before I always used braun satin hair and my hair was damaged but not as DAMAGED as after only ONE WEEK with dyson ! I used the curling attachments FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS and at first I was really satisfied with result, but after the week I can’t even brush my hair!!!! Part of them burned !! They become so thin and light weight!!! So I don’t know what to do now … I really want to try t3 …but I don’t know if I’m going crazy or what , why everyone so in love with dyson !!?? I watched a lot of videos on RU-vid and I see the same lightness of the hair after using dyson on other people that I had !! I didn’t notice it before !
Hi ali! Have you seen Brad Mondo’s dyson airwrap review? If not you should totally watch it. He makes another review after 3 years and he shows how he uses each of the tool and rates each of them. I thought it was helpful too like your video cause ive been interested in getting the dyson but not buying it anytime soon
I have no control with the Dyson! My hair just slips out. It definitely is fussy to create tension. When my hair isn’t tense enough the end result is frizzy for me. I’m looking into the t3 Airebrush!
I got the dyson this week.. Your right no control and my hairs about 20” long I can’t even get the ends to stick on the barbells either, by the time I’ve gotten a curl to wrap the top half of my hair is already dry 🤦🏻♀️
The Dyson (right for viewers) side looks bouncier, but if you look at the other video review of the T3 where she does both sides with the T3, you will notice that the right side of the hair in that video is also bouncier than the left. So its probably would have been better to style the whole head of hair with one tool and then shoot another new video with the other tool for comparison. Side to side comparison is just not so reliable sometimes. Its something I notice about my own hair aswell, left/right is not symmetrically styled and has probably something to do with being left/right handed.
The brush on the t3 is so amazing and grabs so much hair! I wish they sold a brush just like that for blowdrying. I loved both sides! I think they are very different looks. The airwrap def gave you more volume
RU-vidr Channel: Julissa Guillen also used the t3 in a comparison video and hers looked super voluminous. I don’t know if the difference is just because of her hair texture. 🤷🏻♀️
The T3 looks like it almost get stuck as you are pulling the hair through- that’s my biggest fear in buying one of these. I know you said it controls the hair better - but is that at the cost of pulling your hair out?
The dyson ruined my hair, it’s super fragile to begin with but it ruined my ends. Made my hair so dry, the dyson was just too powerful, even on the lowest setting. I think the dyson is only good if you have thick strong hair.
Awww that’s such a bummer! I’m so sorry to hear that! Have you ever tried using Olaplex no 3? Saved my hair every time I bleached it blonde and I use it now still when my hair starts feeling super dry.
@@chelsea_lopez I have very fine hair and Dyson hairdryer, airwrap and straightener saved my hair! I actually was able to grow my hair long what I was never able to do before. So..looks like I will be very faithfull to Dyson hair products.. I only wish airwrap came with bigger round brush.
I just got the Amika hair blow dryer brush and really liked it, but it gets pretty hot. Not sure if it was because my hair was still pretty wet and caused extra steam. anyone else have either the Dyson or T3 brush that knows if theirs gets extremely hot too?
Great review. Thank you. I am looking into both of those and cannot decide. I have shorter hair and very fin hair too. Anybody has similar hair and tried one or the other? Grateful for any inputs btw ❤
Personally I have thin hair and the T3 took about 30 minutes to dry my hair and gave me little to no volume, it didn’t feel damaging but just wasn’t up to par. I liked the Revlon one better than the T3. I recently purchased the Dyson, leaves my hair very shiny & with lots of volume but idk if it’s worth the money yet.
Aww that’s a bummer! Sorry to hear that! I always use a couple volumizing products before a blowout. My faves are raise the root and xtra large bombshell volumizer from color wow. Linked them in case you’re curious: rstyle.me/cz-n/f3aukmcek87, rstyle.me/cz-n/f3aughcek87. Happy that you liked the dyson! It didn’t work for me in terms of managing my frizz but I’m happy you’ve had success with it! Sometimes it just takes a few tries to get the hang of a hot tool 😊
