Thank you! It’s such a cool machine I agree! The suction on the DC08 is more powerful than any other Dyson ever made, at 330 Airwatts! The turbo brush however isn’t the best, it uses a clean air design where half of the suction goes to the floor and the other half goes to an impeller which is segregated from the airpath where the dirt travels through The idea is when there’s more resistance on the floor, more air goes to the turbine which speeds the brushbar up, pretty cool but it would be better on a central vacuum

⁠@@parwaz7861 I like that you brought up the turbo brush design because I feel the same way. We used to have a Dyson DC37 which still uses that clean air design. I’ve never used an older Dyson, so I don’t know if they improved it so the newer ones worked better, but I wasn’t a fan of that brush. Yes, the canister was powerful. Yes, the turbo brush sounded like it had a lot of power. But in reality, the turbo brush barely groomed the carpet, it didn’t deep clean. I believe it was because a lot of that power was robbed to spin the turbine. It was interesting to see how much newer and cleaner the carpet looked after we went back to a vacuum with an electric brush. I loved the DC37 for hard floors though.
