Vacuuming my home twice a day with a Dyson DC41, I thought it did a magnificent job, UNITL I used the baby Shark Liftaway....WOW. The canister was full of dog hair, fluff and debris. I'm amazed. The Shark outperforms the DYSON in every way; it's phenomenal.
Thanks for the video. I would like to add one important feature of the Navigator which, alone, gives the edge to the Navigator. And, that would be the "Lift-Away" feature. The canister lifts away, from the vacuum, making it super convenient to vacuum stairs and places that are difficult to reach with an upright. The Lift-Away feature, stronger suction and a savings of several hundred dollars, helped make the decision to buy the Navigator an easy one for me. I don't regret the decision.
I would definitely prefer the Dyson vacuum only because I had a shark and I did not like the quality of it at all then I got a Dyson and I absolutely love it thank you for posting and ur time on this video
I have a Dyson DC-41 used it 4 times it's junk. I bought a Royal Metal used and it kicks butt. I got it for $129.00 it is five times the vac of a Dyson. I had to go over the wife's tapestry rug with the Dyson about 20 times, with the Royal only three times. your looking at Dyson it's all hype. Save your money get a used reconditioned Royal Metal that's made in America. Stay away from the 10 amp Royal Metal it's made in China and hurts your ears it's so loud. p.s. the Dyson makes a great conversation piece
I'm sorry you feel that way, but I love my DC41 and plan to keep and take care of it for many years to come! and maybe I'll consider the metal royal next time I think about buying another vacuum, thank you for your advice!
I've had the original shark navigator since 2007. It's still working like a charm. I'm planning to get another vacuum because we just bought a house with 3 levels. I've tried 2 different dysons that family members own, and I wasn't impressed. For the price tag I would expect it to be leaps and bounds better, and it wasn't even "as good" as my shark (my 7 year old shark at that.) I'll buy the new lift away because of all my stairs. I'm sorry, "it just feels better" is not a reason to buy it. You buy it to do the job of vacuuming and clearly from the video the winner is Shark!
That was very helpful! We're trying to decide if the extra cost of the Dyson is worth it, so seeing them in action + your thoughts helps us choose. We will probably go with the shark unless we see a super deal on Dyson. ALthough the Dyson sure has great design, and that alone is worth something. The shark is ugly. In further videos I'd suggest more shots of how they come apart and go together, used in different modes. Show action and process that can't be seen in still shots.
I don't have the Shark Navigator Lift-Away but I have the Shark Navigator Deluxe (NV42) for about 2 years now and also feel it 2 is be better then my Dyson Animal, but my Miele U1 cat and dog is still my absolute favorite from all my 5 vacuums, I am so in love with Miele...gosh I have too many vacuums, I need to stop before this gets out of control... LOL
I love my Dyson my aunt still has her Dyson from 2003 and it still works like a charm. My sister has a shark navigator and the filters always clog and it broke, pure junk Dyson out lives shark and is durable
i use a hoover windtunnel air, and its not to bad its excellent! logdog try to test a hoover windtunnel air steerable or original non-steerable against your kirby g3, dc41,shark navigator pro the red one, your original shark navigator, and your dc33. the windtunnel has a brushroll on and off feature too
The Dyson can be had for much less than $600 if you do some good bargain shopping, also longevity would be a concern as well. Which one was built better?
the shark is way better because I live alone and I used to have a Dyson and It broke down instantly. now I have a shark professional liftaway. and it works wwaayy better! thank you shark company.
I bought a shark and the tubing was cracked within the first year. They clean well but they are manufactured so poorly. I have an old Dyson still going strong, I just needed something more lightweight. I think you really get what you pay for
I have a dyson and it's all plastic and now after only a short period of time... broken. I'll never pay 500 for a vacuum. I have a, "shi, shi sha...sha shark!" and it's great. Costco for 130 out the door. Bouy! Cheers
I loved my Dyson until I got a shoe lace hung in the brushes. The brushes have never worked even though Dyson sent me another head. I mean common, this machine cost a lot of money and now I have to take it to a shop because I bought it off of eBay. Oh, from a Dyson dealer but off of eBay.
