if you dont need the new heads and nozzels you can have the new v15 for under 300 punds if you buy spare parts from dyson. body with cyclone is about 91 punds battery about 98 punds, filter about 43 pounds and bin about 33 punds.
I seriously love mine, deffo the best cordless I've ever used, vibrates the floor better than my V11 Absolute and sucks a lot better, the feature that detects dust is mega useful too!

Thanks Roger...hope the UK is opening up more these days. I imagine the laser light would be very useful under beds or other furniture which are sitting on bare floors. Would be a good test if you have such a set up somewhere in your home. That being said, for 600 pounds, Dyson could put some LED lights on the carpet head and even on the end of the wand like our North American Kenmore vacs - that would be much more useful, methinks.
The gimmicky LED light is actually really good for seeing under the furniture like sofas. It is dark beneath furniture and this shows spots you would easily miss otherwise because of the awkwardness of getting beneath the furniture.
To be honest, nothing still beats the corded systems. Yes the cordless may have the upper advantages to ergonomics and performance. The issue is battery life based on putting it on constant heavy settings. The batteries are Dyson weak points, especially on the boost settings and deep carpet clean. Never deep clean a full carpeted room or rooms with a cordless Dyson on boost or high mode. You'll destroy those batteries. Also they need to make a better altitude compensating software in the BMS system ( battery management system) for higher altitude regions. Dyson is making the biggest mistake on pulling the plug on corded machines and discontinuing corded machines like the latest big ball uprights and the cinetics ( already has). If anything he should go hybrid, the best of both worlds. ( corded with cordless).
24:32 this clip perfectly demonstrates one of the problems with fluffy/soft rollers! it kicks debris out of the way, the old fluffy is worse because it is larger and spins much faster. Now I understand why some comments say the conventional/torque head is all what we need.

I've seen that Dyson have made a v12 detect slim (idk which country) I believe it doesn't have a trigger anymore? Edit: BTW still using my v10 absolute and it’s good to know that the newer components work with the older dyson model’s 👍

I've been thinking about the v15,I've got a small ball and v7 at the moment,have come to the conclusion to stick with what I've got and in pondering over it feel it's well overpriced,you can get a vax blade pet 4 with 2 battery option on argos at the moment for £250 and a sebo felix for £300 in ebay,£550 spent and the vax will be good enough for everyday cleaning and for a deep clean can't see the v15 matching the sebo

We have had a V8 for the last 4 years. We bought the new V15 4 weeks ago and have to say it’s very powerful. One downside though the filter! Because the V15 picks up so much more the filter clogs a lot faster than on the V8. I mean really fast one needs to check it after every major vacuum especially after the first time. I’ve ordered a spare filter so we can switch over whilst the dirty ones drying. I was a bit caught out as with the V8 it Rarely needed cleaning. Must be that the V15 is so much more powerful although I would have thought the cyclone would have done a better job.
The filter tends to clog more easily if the operator CONSTANTLY overfill the dust bin. Not only will you need to wash filter more frequently but you also run into risk of clogging the tiny cyclones which are not designed to be taken apart nor washable.
Bear in mind that the filter on the V10 generation Dysons is different. The air filters from inside to out on the V8 whereas later models it filters outside to in so that means the captured dust is more visible.

I recently purchased the v15 after using a shark cordless and although suction power is great it’s impossible to use on thicker carpets in auto mode. It clamps down and then cuts out and I have to switch to eco mode. I’ve tried to adjust the gates but this makes no difference. It defeats the object if you’re looking for a better clean. It’s not what I would expect from such an expensive vacuum.
I’ve shown the V15 and V11 won’t work on my Saxony living room carpet unless in eco mode with the cleaner head in the minus position. The other carpets in my home are fine on Auto and Boost, but the newer Dysons will cut out on thicker pile carpets.
I’m waiting for this exact model in 🇨🇦 but the wand is GOLD and the other part teal… I’m trying to understand why the colours are different …. Just spoke to Dyson yesterday…. 💞

@@huskyvacs I had heard that long ago, and never used carpet powder myself. Had a friend with a dog, and she doused her carpet in that powder, the carpet always felt dirtier and the strong fragrance was worse than the dog smell. I just thought it would be informative to see if the Dyson was able to get all the powder out of the carpet.
There seems to be an issue with the filter sensor, we had 3 units replaced and all had the same issue, warning that the filter needed cleaning after the first use. Dyson are aware of it, but are replacing the faulty units with faulty units.
Well that's worrying. My mother-in-law had the same problem with her V10 several years ago. And Dyson still haven't fixed the problem by the looks of it.
So that "precisely-angled" laser is basically just a green headlight then. Now, if the laser actually scanned the floor and alerted you on the display of missed or hidden dirt, then yes. But a green laser pointer projected onto the floor? Not really. Plus, that "revolutionary" feature is only for hard floors. Gotta love fancy marketing tactics for simple features that are sold at premium prices.

I feel like a forensic examiner when I’m using the gimmicky green laser on a darken room. If you clean your room in a normally lit room, then shut off the lights! You will be shocked at the dust and hair that is still there.
I'm sure it's a great vacuum, it just seems super gimmicky, why does it need a display, why not just put a battery LED indicator and a switch to change mode, why does it need a lazer? I'm sure the vac would be much cheaper if they just kept everything basic and just released a good vacuum. sure auto mode is cool, but you don't need a display for that, just a switch
Couldn't agree more,I've got 2 dysons stick and upright but it seems about bell's and whistles now,as much fashion as vacuuming, well overpriced but super marketed
tatshore A triumph of marketing. People actually buy into the idea that they should "upgrade" their dyson every couple of years. It's insanity. My local council run tip has a dedicated shipping container purely for discarded dysons, such are the vast numbers of them thrown away. I hope they are stripped for parts but they weren't keen on telling me what actually happens to them.
That’s like saying you don’t “need” shaving cream, or shampoo, as long as you have a bar soap. My grandmother never used toothpaste , as long as she had baking soda… I could go on… 🙄
So we have lots of human hair on the floors thanks to teenage girls in the house. So would I have to use that hair screw attachment to vacuum the whole house? We have an older Dyson upright but it's a pain to cut and pull out yards of hair from the beater bar all the time. It really gets stuck in there good. Great video though. Think we will maybe buy the V15.

Can't wait for the full demo. Loving my v10 but I do feel it doesn't clean very deep on medium suction- the v15 has much more oomph. The high torque head seems very noisy, is that just an illusion with the audio recording?
I'm disappointed with the anti-tangling comb head. I have hardwood floors and I used it in one room where there's barely any visual dust dirt and hair and after 10 minutes of use not even on a rug yet the motor in the head stalled out on me and I cleaned it thinking that it was just hair caught in it but nothing seems to be in it so I think I got a dud and for almost $699 USD before Tax You would think the head would be able to handle very bare-bones basic vacuuming but apparently not. If you could see my floors and what I had it vacuuming up you'd be amazed how ridiculous it sounds that it stalled out
I’ve had mine for a week now and I don’t know if I really like it. I think my Shark cordless vacuum did a better job. Good thing is I bought it directly through Dyson, so I have 45 days to change my mind and get a full refund. I think I’m kind of leaning that way.
I certainly won’t be trading in my V11 absolute for a fluffy tool that lights up lol.It’s certainly not a big enough step forward to shell out yet another £600
Ur not just getting that tho. A much more powerful v15, the anti tangle head and mini head, the particle counter, a detachable battery, and the laser fluffy head. But I see what ur saying
@@blackice7408, the v15 is unnoticeable in regards to power compared to the v11 and the v11 also has a removable battery, it’s not worth the extra money at all which is why the V11 and V15 still cost the same amount on the Dyson website
Sadly my dyson big ball has a fault and the wanted me to buy their new one and I asked about trading mine in so I could get it a bit cheaper but sadly not so I will not be buying one
@@Tonabillity You should use it. Alternate them with each time you vacuum. That way over time, the battery wear is spread between two instead of one therefore be in better condition in years time.
I have questions about cleaning the Dysons. as I can see your bins and heads ar prety clean and transperent. How do you do it ? main are getting opack and I could not find a good material to clean them.
They are only clear because they are brand new and most of his machines see very little use simply because he has so many. The opaque haze on plastics isn't dirt, it's fine surface scratches that make it look cloudy. You can polish them out with brasso, which has a very fine abrasive in it, or try car headlight restorer polish which does the same thing. Or you could just do what sane people do, and conclude that life is too short and live with it.

Why are the dyson cordless vacuums grounded in the UK but not Grounded in the EU? On the EU chargers there is just the small two pin eu plug instead of the thicker two pin plug with ground contacts. Its sad that the UK charger is saver than the charger in the EU.

Humm £600 is $849 US ...whereas I'm seeing it on sale here for $699.99 ...terrifying price. And Dyson doesn't allow discounts. Typically. (BTW the average hourly wage in Malaysia is $9.17 ...made there, and frankly more than I'd expected). Oh and I presume the £600 price includes VAT. In Seattle you would have to add over 10% sales tax to the $699.99 price. I still blame Dyson for the rush to cordless vacuums and especially the loss of Miele upright vacuums. I love my Miele. Hate Dyson.
in the U.K. it's illegal for manufacturers to dictate a price to retailers. They can suggest a recommended price but retailers are free to set their own, and any attempt to enforce a set price would incur very large fines. Having said that, the wholesale price is probably so astronomical that most retailers pitch their prices at a similar level just to extract what little profit they can. It's not impossible to find cheaper dysons but usually the savings are minimal.

@@blackice7408 It would mean me having to refurbish it and as it's had a lot of use I doubt it would fetch that amount in pound sterling which is about £350. My V11 is powerful enough and I only use it as a supplementary vacuum anyway.

@@EduardoSilva-ft9wl the v15+ has a hepa filter that's so dense, it will filter down to 0.1 microns vs 0.3 microns on their other hepa filters. So the air is MUCH cleaner. In fact, the virus is just a bit bigger than 0.1 microns so it will be able to trap that, smoke, and diesel soot. Also it has a built in crevice and dusting tool and also has a tool that will allow it to vacuum under furniture and hard to reach appliances

If this is ur first time wanting to own a dyson vac or if u have an old vac like a v6, v8, or even v10, or even another brand, id get it. Its only $50US more than the standard v15 price

Think these are fantastic. Of course you’re going to get people who hate them because they are Dyson, in the same way they hate apple products. Probably can’t afford to drop premium prices on premium products. They do tend to last, you do see 8 year old cordless Dysons still for sale, and in a free market economy, unreliable badly made products do not sell and Dyson wouldn’t be in their 15th model if they were so rubbish.
