I super love vacuums and have an electrolux, meili, 2 dysons, and roomba as well. the new roomba I want for the downstairs is a roomba 980 that today retails for $900. In my opinion the dyson v8 has a reasonable price for what you are getting
The best purchase ever! The competition has to be jealous. This item is the most complete ever! Thank you, Mr. Dyson! George Machtans. Wabamun, Alberta, Canada
For me, the biggest improvement over the V6 is you can take off the cyclone and properly clean it. You can't with the V6 because the cyclone doesn't come off. So the cyclone gets filthier and filthier until it is too filthy to use to clean your home, andyou take it outside and repeatedly bash it on a cement surface until it is unrecognisable. Well, that's what I did, anyway. The V6 is a lemon.
How can u charge it...judt like a phone or u have to use the wall station? And u have to hold on the button always while u are vacuuming, or it has an on/off button?
Full charge is 25 min. That gives me half a n apartment and have to wate 5 hours to fully charge? That is disappointing. Is there a nother battery or a electric cord if i do need to continue vacuuming?
You have to see this like a vacuum you use intermittently do to a few rooms at a time, or one room whenever you feel like it needs to be cleaned. which is much more pleasant imo. This is not a heavy duty vacuum.
So here in 2020.... is it still worth to buy it for fair price? How long the battery stay last? I am afraid the battery die after 2 years or something. My hoover just died after 2 years.
I have one on the way. I'm kind of worried because I've always had powerful corded vacuums. This seemed like it would be easier to use on fabric furniture and stairs. I'm definitely buying an extra battery but from amazon where they cost 45.00 vs 129.00 from dyson.
It's crazy to me that all these revisions and you still have to HOLD the trigger. Very annoying and uncomfortable if you want to vac thru a full charge.
Lady J yes it is. I just tried it out for one minute and it triggered my carpal tunnel. Not to mention that I have to turn it a particular way to use the suction pipe and it blows air in the face.
I use my Dyson cordless only for stair treads (I use the Dyson ball for everything else). I used to be able to do a full flight of stairs, but after a year, less than half a flight. For those who get away doing stair carpet on normal mode - great. But I need full suction and spin to get pet hair out of the carpet. I maintain this device well, cleaning out filters and rollers regularly. But the electricals are garbage.
When trying to empty the bottom lid fell off. While I was trying to get to back on and the dust bin fell off and I cannot get it back. Piece of junk for the money
Why you are recommending this product being said 5 hrs of charging time last for 40 or 20 mins based on settings. It is worthless for the money we spent as EV cars can be charged for 30 mins to get 70% of battery. They are using old school technology which is completely worthless
Dyson vacuums are awesome but I do not like thar prices of thay need to lower down thar prices of thare vacuums I would like to have a day son but thare price of them is too much money
psshhh.... we have one at work, it is terrible. my $59 GVA alchepo chinese vacuum has much better suction than this over priced piece of junk. Dyson has become the Apple of vacuum industry. they create expensive good looking but useless devices.
Batteries in these always fail.I am on to my 3rd one,and it was quite expensive and 7 minutes on high is laughable cmon Dyson pick up your game and stop charging a fortune for these.
