I’m surprised that a researcher hasn’t considered the rate of change on the cooling graph at all - it’s almost absurd! The Dyson’s RAPID cooling meant that the skin temperature was cooled very quickly from a much higher temperature than what could be achieved by the Vortex. The fact the Vortex was closer to a flat line showed that actual COOLING barely took place at all. His skin was colder, and it remained colder, as opposed to the Dyson’s line which showed his skin was hotter and got cooler - and quickly!

When john says its noisy it's not that bad, they're in a controlled environment with no back ground noise so you notice it more. The Dyson or at least the 09 model is pretty quite especially when compared to a bladed fan.

These test are a load of bollocks. Used Dyson fan heaters in a cold unit for a couple of years. Crap at cooling. Crap at heating. Went with Vortex air over a year ago. So much better at both heating and cooling. Half the price of the Dyson. Still going strong. Typical fanboy bashing. Buy the Vortex. We own 3 now.

As someone with the Dyson 09 model it's expensive to buy and costs a lot to run if you run it at max like any other yes the avg use is higher buy 5watts odd but it's tiny but turn it up it's very expensive how ever it goes up too 37c on heater. The mag clip is a nice to have if it's close too you or you're someone who loses the remote.
