The Zero G has been a godsend to use while recovering from the first of two total knee replacement surgeries. With a 65 pound puppy and a long haired cat that sheds, the amount of pet hair in the house and all over my bed and sofa is terrifying. With the Zero G, I'm able to keep my home clean without the pain and misery that lugging my top-heavy Lindhaus HF6 around was causing.
I bought into the marketinghype and got a Dyson about 15 yrs ago. It is made of cheap plastic, cleaning out the cannister and filters is a pain and frankly, it's just not easy to use when going from floor to above floor cleaning, handling is awkward. I felt pretty bamboozled. Some part of plastic housing broke and the cost of the repair was way more than it was worth. I have a Miele bagged now and will never go back. If I had known about Zero G when I got my vaccuum I would definitely have given it a try.
To add some more to my comment - my parents who have a Dyson upright were looking for something for their upstairs to avoid lugging the Dyson up and down. They purchased a zero g which they like a lot and now it’s the preferred vacuum for both floors.
I bought a Zero g a couple of years ago and it's easily the best vacuum I've ever owned. And for what I got, I thought the price was quite reasonable. It's only a couple of hundred dollars more than the high end Shark and about the same as a Dyson. The silver micron bags are worth their weight in gold (no pun intended). I have a one story house, but I still find the stair tool to be quite useful when vacuuming fabric furniture and especially mattresses. It has great suction and I'm sure is death to dust mites! So with its floating capability, I'm really enjoying my Jetsons era vac!
I know this was posted a day ago, yet I am very thankful for this video! While I don't mind a good decent upright, definitely not Dyson. I still would pick a canister, wonderful job!
Loved this vid. I'd love to watch more videos comparing e-waste vacuums like Dyson/Shart vs quality units. Maybe we can save a few viewers from being fooled by mommy bloggers.
Nice comparison per usual! Dyson wasn't very good. Would suggest wearing a small LED headlight/floodlight which would light up the carpets you are examining and make debris easier to see.
I've been waiting for this review for ages! This isn't simply a review of Dyson vs. Zero G but canister vs. upright. Both the Dyson and the Zero G are uglier than sin but the Zero G is ugly in a 70's era "My Favorite Martian" kind of way. In other words, "Super cool." I would love to get the Zero G but a research on reddit shows how carbon from faulty motors stains carpet. Zero G, at least a few years ago, didn't have stellar customer support either. I also wish the Zero G would have some sort of sound deadening around their motor. It's too loud. Still, put some Wessel Werk brush heads on the Zero G and you have a winning combination. For now, however, I'll stick my with Miele.
You should have dug a little deeper on Reddit. You'll find that that actually wasn't true under normal use. Video on that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-inWHgZonHss.html
They’re excellent straight suction machines. I have the equivalent of the C2/S2/S6 machine presently and added the turbo nozzle for my area rugs and it’s outstanding for wall to wall and ceiling to floor cleaning. It’s powerful and quiet for a pleasant experience
I have a review of the top of the end S5 which is what that machine was based off of. I also own that vacuum in my collection but don't have a video on it yet. Here's the video on the S5 I was telling you about. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hjbD3neSIQA.html
@@LlyleHunter I have the one with the power nozzle, not the ebk 360, the flatter one and I love it. Just didn’t know what it was equivalent to in their lineup today
Very Biased imo you cant compare a dyson to top notch high end machine like the zero g its like comparing paper and a rock i could see it if you did a vs on Miele, sebo or something like that but not a dyson upright
@PerformanceReviews for 1 thing it's a dyson which imo isn't really high end compared to the competition and for 2 compare it to an actual canister vacuum like a sebo, miele or a kenmore and actually explain why the zero g is way better than a normal canister bagged vacuum
You mean based* I do have another video talking about the subject specifically. Uprights lose almost every time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D-NW-p_Y5F4.html
Yeah, I loved the Dyson under furniture test that tried to shove the whole upright under the couch instead of detaching the hose and using a proper attachment. Sure the Zero G is easier but at least use the right tool on the Dyson.
A Kirby does not have anywhere near the power of the Zero G. In fact when tested Kirby has about half the powe. Nor the engineering of nozzle technology this machine has.
I got the zeroG a few years ago. I almost pulled the trigger on a $250 meile cat and dog from craigslist but something seemed off so I backed out. Anyway, I couldn't afford a $1200 dollar vacuum and at the time zero G was about 450-475 IIRC, maybe a little bit more than that. I absolutely love the thing. I swear to god that thing will suck the light out of a black hole.
