The longevity of Edin Džeko needs to be studied. The man led Wolfsburg to their first Bundesliga title, was a key member of the City squad when they captured their first title and is now leading Inter to a potential CL final. He deserves everything.
@@russell6075 good point. Some players decline rapidly because of the attributes that make them good players decline with age. But Dzeko doesn't rely on pace and agility. Although he demonstrates to have them from time to time.
@@hellfirebikerz you've misspelled ''nationalist idiot'' aka both of you. Normal people have friend no matter where they're from. keep living in your caves tho
Everybody is saying how good he was with city or Roma and I totally agree with you but when he was with Wolfsburg he was a machine with a partnership with grafitii “I’m sorry if I unpronounced his name incorrectly” he was the goal scorer and won the league and went to play in championship league. WHAT A PLAYER
yes you are right, he was at his absolute prime when he played for Wolfsburg with Grafite and Misimovic and also for Bosnia he gave it his all, and stats do not lie.. he did have one great season for Roma being top goalscorer of the Seria A that was also him at his peak.
@@adnankamen6470 yeah with Roma he was a beast. I’m a Real Madrid fan and I wished we could’ve signed him as a second striker fiddle with benzema cuz he plays so good of how we play.
I would compare Giroud and Dzeko. Both won the league for a smaller clubs (Monteplier and Wolfsburg respectively) and they still compete for the top clubs at this age
A beast at Wolfsburg but at Roma he was a different breed. He single handedly destroyed barca. Roma we’re great on the night but dzeko was absolutely world class it was a pleasure having him at Roma
Don't ever break this ensemble up, CBS. The chemistry among these 3 pundits and the host is incredible. I don't usually enjoy post match coverage, but these lot is really fun to watch.
I watched that Premier league win in the last game with my father on TV. We are Bosnians. I will never forget Edin scoring and instantly running for the ball to the net and getting it firmly back to the center... Unforgettable!
Dzeko scored the equalizer header goal in injury time on man city’s first premier league title win before Aguero’s winner but nobody is giving him credit for that till date.Sad !!
As soon as he scored yesterday… as a City fan it was the first thing I thought about especially since the public has been writing off the Milan teams so it will be a huge upset essentially
@@daviebananas1735 Uh yeah it was lol. Equalizing that late in the game is quite important. No equalizer no winner. Same with the first goal as well. Just that one can take the stage being a last minute goal for the win.
@@lilkurva180 That’s the most insane logic I’ve ever heard. The most important goal is the winner. Ageuro puts it past the post and no one even remembers Dzeko scored. He has the good but it’s a disaster for Man City. Right? The only reason he’s not in tears having scored his goal at the end of the game is because of Ageurooooooooooo. Never been a more important goal in the PL. to suggest the earlier goals were as important is like saying every goal that every goal that man city scored in the full season is just as important. They’re not. People don’t get fucking tattoos of Dzekos goal. They don’t make documentaries based on the time of Dzekos goal. Dzeko’s goal is not etched in the memory of every Man City fan. No-one remembers the commentary for Dzeko’s goal. Most important strike in PL history was the winner in this game. Not Zabaleta’s goal, not Dzeko’s. Without Aquero the title went to Man Utd.
Not his fault, as English is not his primary language, but Dzeko really missed a gigantic trick to not say C U Next Tuesday to Micah instead of C U next week. 😂
@getouttadatgarden "See you next Tuesday" is derived from a combination of the letters c and u, which when pronounced aloud sound like “see you,” and the first letters of the words next and Tuesday. This forms an acronym rebus that, when taken together, stands for C*NT, a swear word in English.
Schmeichel as an interviewer continually surprises me. He's a bit dry, but the respect that players seem to have for him make it more of a conversation than an interrogation.
Dzeko has to be in the conversation as one of the greatest strikers of his generation, alongside Benzema, Suarez, and Lewa (edit: forgot Aguero). His longevity is better than any of them; he's made over 900 appearances for club and country and has 400 goals and 150 assists. Of his 20 seasons as a professional, he's had 16 seasons with 10+ goals and five seasons with 20+ goals. Not to mention winning trophies in the 3 different countries.
He played a key role in bringing Bosnia to their first World Cup in Brasil. It's unfortunate that they haven't had much consistency (and a deeper bench), but he's been a rock for his national team for a long time. The man has earned and proven his world class status many times over imho.
Now that I think about it, it's tragic that we never got to see a Yugoslav national team through the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. There were so many killers coming out of the Balkans, but always fragmented among the independent states.
I love dzeko and he’s one of the best strikers but seria a teams don’t stand a chance against epl rn. But tbh Roma should’ve never sold dzeko dumbest decision
EPL teams in paper often are better than Serie A team. But Serie A teams are adaptive in tactics so you should never underestimate SerieA. Remember Napoli-Liverpool? Milan-Tottenham?
