I did it as well.. Rainy season trek is hell... Slippery... And we couldn't go down the valley because of cloud and foggy.. had to come back without getting to see 😢..u went via jakhama route? We went via Viswema on a bolero..

Trekking will be difficult if rains but again trekking during rain has its own fun, carry a good quality raincoat with you, and don't be afraid to get a little wet. Have fun and enjoy the beauty of nature. If possible carry some food everything is very costly up at the base camp

Yes it's possible, it will be a had trek of 14 to 15 km and you have set out early morning, and do contact with sumo driver beforehand to pick u guys up while returning

aFTER WATCHING YOUR VIDEO REGARDING ACCOMODATION AT THE END, I CHANGED MY PLAN TO DO THE TREK. i WISH ACCOMODATION WAS A BIT CLEANER. mAY BE TENT DURING WINTER MAY BE BETTER

Not at all its very cold out there imagine what was our situation when we were all soaked wet, plus the mud slush and slippery slopes made the matter worst with no views because of clouds

@@lifeaurmain8041 evn i was charged 200 for a few metre ride 100 for a few blocks rickshaw ride So imagine a hilly area where it's so hard to access anything. Compare to it it's nothing.. If it was 2000 3000 that's one thing.. But it's not This is the reason why one khasi wrote about the dissatisfaction of assam people coming to shillong. They are calling it maggi tourism now cos u people go everywhere with budget n destroy n litter places with unhygienic ways and hesitate to buy evn one maggi and in turn only destroying thier place with too much influx of tourist. And m scared it has happened to dzukou too It's too unclean now n smelly 80 percent tourist are from assam who come for budget trip

Bro been to many treks much more difficult and remote then this, good behavior doesn't cost anything, I have seen them refusing to sell them tea just because they didn't hire any guide, when we reached there we were cold and wet and shivering, we just wanted to have a hot cup of tea, u know what they asked do u have a guide, we said yes then let him come then we will sell u tea, now our guide was with the elder member an he had knee issue so he was slow and guide was helping him, so obviously he was slow and late. Let along there rude way of talking. I know it sounds bad but it is what it is. I guess they r being rude as it is a jungle, didn't know that one should expect rude behavior in a jungle.

And you know what you people call us china chunki and when they saw other people they try to charge very high everything most of the shopkeeper so and so

Look in cities u have options, u can bargain but up there those guys were dictating terms and taking advantages of the situation which is unacceptable. You know what, you are trying to justify their wrong doing is very surprising. Anyways little improvement here and there will make the trek whole lot better and enjoyable that's what I just wanted to say.

If it rains trekking will become difficult, pack a good quality raincoat as it's rains heavy there,but again trekking in rain has its own experience. As for us we did really enjoyed the trek even though it was raining
