Man, you see things totally different after the accusations and evidence of his behavior, and when you think about it it's actually pretty disturbing ._.
Social justice media like to use this clip to demonstrate how troubled he was.. but those who actually use their brains will know he was just acting out a scene in his head. I feel like he has a cartoony personality that he never grows out of because.... well he makes cartoons and the best way to make cartoons is to immerse yourself in that universe. Otherwise you get cartoons like....... you know..... today :/
Isn't it obvious that George Liquor was inspired by John K.'s father. I mean, watch "Cans without Labels", and you'll see what problems John K. had with him.
Now are you talking about the shit anime we have today or the amazing stuff made in the 1980's 90's like akira ghost on the shell cowboy bebop and others. for fuck sake man. also animators were still paid shit back then as well in america for fuck sake
@@JessePorkman so original since the only smash hit cartoon out right now is rick and fucking morty. every other damn cartoon now treats viewers like fucking children even treat children like children. tell me one cartoon show thats huge besides rick and morty.
You're thinking of listing things that defined the 90s. I was summing them up, not making a list. Summing up and listing mean different things. If you want to extrapolate, then you can remove the question marks and the band Green Day.
Bikewithlove heck the weird thing about your comment is the fact that Kurt cobain was about to do a song for ren and stimpy but got kicked out of the animation studios before he could even give them the song don't believe me look it up
It's one of his daddy issues - John K got kicked by his dad a lot being a child for not being manly enough, which is why he modeled George Liquor after his dad.
Lack of hair dye, and this was before he got the two facelifts. Also he allegedly takes HGH off label to be more "buff." (He started juicing in the early 2000s)
Here in Spumco Cartoons, we're going to make cartoons for *M E N !* [Insert either Ren or Stempy standing in a neutral expression with him having a sweater saying "mom come pick me up, I'm scared" here]
@@MPackOfficial Have you read Thad Komorowski's book? Also, Jimmy's head was at the Spumco logo at the end of the Spumco produced Ren and Stimpy episodes. That shows how much value Kricfalusi had in Jimmy the Idiot Boy.
3:31 Henry Porch, by the way, was also the music coordinator at Spumco, as well as the keyboard player for "London After Midnight". And April March, the singer, was also once Kricfalusi's girlfriend.
If you're into art or animation at all as a hobby or whatever, read John's personal blog. He can be a nut on certain things, but a lot of his advice in terms of design and understanding of character creation is invaluable. Despite his retirement from animation professionally, he still maintains it and posts his art and opinions, and it's an excellent read.
The real reasons John K. couldn't do anything good after Ren & Stimpy: he put all his time and efforts into abusing children and shaving his face. (Beard disappeared after spumco lost the show)
Honey, the signs were all there. People like Billy West talking about there awful experiences working with him and the DVD introduction video with Katie Rice.
@skinnyweenie8679 And also that other introduction for "Stimpy's Pregnant." where John K is with some other lady while she's sitting on the floor and he's sitting in a chair.
Lies: he's now a washed-up hack who makes Lineham look like Parker/Stone. kiwifarms.net/threads/michael-john-kricfalusi-john-kricfalusi-john-k-john-k-stuff-raymond-spum.40970/
Thanks for sharing! I have this on VHS somewhere, but haven't watched it because I have a serious fear of Robbie Benson. Thanks for your meticulous editing and removal of Mr. Benson I can once again watch this. Oh Joy! :-)
I really love how John really freaks out twice during his interview,he’s basically a real-life Ren due to having the same violent temper and constant freakouts/mood swings the crazy,short-tempered chihuahua was known for. Sad shame,John K. fell from grace and almost none of his stuff after Ren and Stimpy, including the infamous 2003 adult reboot, never reached the impact and spirit of his one-hit wonder and John’s animation career came finally down the drain and he retired from animation in 2019 after the failure of his kickstarter cartoon,Cans Without Labels and his own true nature and pedophilia towards teenage women came to light that previous year.
Stronglaughs Studios what they showed here is him trying to act out how the character are supposed to act this gives the artist an idea on how to go with animating the supposed character. If you take any animation courses everyone advises you to take acting classes as well
Hyperdreamvirus This is exactly we he went to shit, *HE HAS SUCH A FUCKIN EGO!* He tries way too hard with the "Cartoons were SO GOOD back in the day and anything after that is garbage" and he thinks he's bringing it back or somethin'. Look, Ren & Stimpy *ALONG WITH OTHER SHOWS* brought back creative freedom in cartoons similar to back in the day but he's acting as if he's the reason of all this. A creator shouldn't acknowledged (more like brag) about what successful thing they've contributed to because everyone's involved.
How sad is it that even when John K is outed out as a child groomer, handful of people reveal their horrible experiences working with him, and all of his cartoons (post Ren and Stimpy) were shit...people in this world will still defend and idolized him.
@@EWisAmazing Not even close. He and Spumco were fired shortly after Sven Hoek was produced, and did a majority of the rest of season 2 before being completely fired. Also, you _completely_ missed what I said.
I think the reason he never made anything despite promises that came after he was fired, is because he got a large royalty for the new episodes made without him, and I think even reruns. It made him complacent and lazy.
Huge royalty cheques. Like six figures per episode. And then he sued Viacom in 1996 for breach of contract, which was baseless, but their lawyers settled with him in the millions just to make him go away.
@@jesseemullen Actually, Nickelodeon knew that the initial Nicktoons contracts did promise that some rights would go back to the creators of the shows.
Man I don't like all the scummy pedo shit John has done but I still just can't help but respect the man's passion and integrity for cartoons and animation when I hear him talk about it. Loved Ren and Stimpy my whole life but didn't find out until a few days ago that it was at the time the first cartoon in over 30 years to not be based off of an existing property and be creator driven which probably makes it the most important cartoon of all time in terms of modern animation.
Yeah for all the bad he's done, he's also made some pretty important history with Ren and Stimpy and his passion for animation really helped with that. Hopefully someone like him without all his shittiness and pedophilia that's as passionate about the medium of cartoons and animation
i remember nickelodeon was the only channel in the 90's that really was open minded to these bizarre show, they also had some very weird commercials haha
It's kinda sad though if you think about it. There's clearly a history of abuse by his father onto a little boy. He draws his father as a hulking mass of muscle, which to a child getting beaten makes sense. It's a shame how he turned out and he's a straight up criminal, but it's sad he had his innocence taken away by the one person who is supposed to protect him.
ballsdynamite John Kricfalusi, I know he's an asshole and pretty crazy. But I honestly feel bad for him in his youth. He was clearly abused, most likely physically and emotionally which is why he's so insecure and it also explains why he's so messed up nowadays. It's very sad. If he wasn't he'd probably have a much different life today. I'll even admit that I still feel sympathetic for him nowadays, because abuse in general isn't healthy for anyone and I would know because I've been through a great deal of abuse in my life. Only in regards to John K, I don't act with intent on others for it.
I have to wonder though; when Spümcø went bust, what ever happened to all those unused layouts, storyboards and miscellaneous artwork for these unfinished cartoons? Also have to wonder how many cartoons (jimmy, george liquor, etc) were in various states of completion but never got made past the animatic stage
Professor Rosenstock I see. I am curious how he was a Dick... I believe he either is, or comes off that way. Admittedly I wouldn’t know unless I lived with him.
odeerg Well, I know that has come about lately. In that regard he is a perv. So I can agree he is messed up... Though it would suck if that kind of love is a real sexuality. Sickens me to be honest...
John K is Chris Chan if he was fixated on Chuck Jones instead of Sonic The Hedgehog Also if it makes you feel better John K only wrote 6 out 52 episodes of Ren and Stimpy. So it's hardly his creation
Tf, does Chris Chan have anything to do with this video ??? John seem to not really care for any of the other Looney Tunes directors apart from Bob Clampett (and a bit of Robert McKimson). DUH, of course he didn't wrote majority of the episodes of his own cartoon because he was fired early on. He did wrote most of the Season 1 and 2 episodes, though.
He did not only write 6 episodes, lmao. He was the main force of the entire first two seasons, and it shows. The rest are the Games episodes which are considered to be sh*t by almost everybody.
Hey guyfacefartyface, thank you for the video. Whole-heartedly, I agree with Mr. Kricfalusi's approach to telling stories in cartoons. In them, you don't write with words on scripts, you write with little drawings called storyboards;but what if you struggle with doing storyboards? My answer is do some concept doodles, scribbles, and sketches; pantomime, and an outline that breaks down the main beats of your story; since they give you and your team the concept of the story you're trying to tell.
