Thanks for the video, just found it. I'm intimately familiar with the class specifications, but it's always great to see you explain it the way you do. I'm a former marathoner who has "done my time", and even though I get plenty of workouts through the week on paths and mountain bike trails, I feel like your Thursday night rides are a chance to take it easy and have some relaxing fun. Being able to work up a genuine sweat, or make it a light workout, or just enjoy the scenery is possible all on the same bike. Plus, when you are picking up a passenger with heavy book bags every day, who says that spraying sweat out of your eyeballs is a requirement? 😁 Detroit is nice and the people are friendly, but where I ride, some people will look you in the eye as they almost run you down. So to me, a throttle is a safety feature. Also, you get an extra measure of control on mountain bike trails. Thanks again for the video!
