You can double your range by adding another battery pack and connecting in parallel. Or you could simply use a switch to go from one battery to the other.
i made myself an Electric Schwinn Stingray Chopper last week i laced a hub motor in the rear wheel and it works great i have not yet measured the speed but i will
Subscribed! I have an OCC chopper kind of like yours, except i'm putting alot of money into customizing mine with looks. Plus mine doesn't have a motor lol. Do you have a video that shows how you installed the motor?
your camera makes the sound of the wind like a space rocket launch... if some1 listens only the sound of this video will think that your bike is supersonic... :P Nice work though i really love electric bikes especially those that are fast and cool looking.. :D
i wish to convert my schwinn also on rear drive ebike... but the motor i got has 20 spokes compared of its 24..also i want to maintain the pedal, cos im used to my ebike pedaling/its faster that way, to activate the motor instead of the control...
@Jkenville91 front works well for this bike. It is hard to lace the motor in a 4inch rear like this. That said we have done that also. We used a motorcycle wheel and spokes for building a rear. That bike can be seen in the community>photo gallery>spectacular custom projects at e-bikekit . com
Lana.
I would like to do this with my OCC-CB but it would be nice if the motor offered some type of braking since the brake on the rear wheel is pretty weak.
You would gain some top speed but mostly you would double the torque. Unless you know how to reconfigure the controller you would need two completely separate systems and throttles to make it happen. It can be done though. If you want to know how ask at Endless Sphere Technology Forum.
