You can't expect much for $999, but would never describe that as a powerful motor. A 500 watt motor is incredibly anemic in this class of bike.

Do you think this bike is worth it or should I get an ariel ryder. I am enjoying the rambler 16 but want more speed

If you're looking for more speed, looking into the Ariel Ryder bikes may be worth the extra $$. Solid bikes and for double the price you'll be getting a bike that not only fits your wants, but lasts a long time too. It's a good investment, imo. The Rambler 20 is a good bike for people on a budget looking for a fun bike to roll around town.

If you are willing to mod it, this bike could fly. You just need a better battery and controller.
