E-bike Tour of Sonobe (Nantan) in the Kyoto "Satoyama" countryside.  

This is a e-bike tour I took on August 14, 2024.. My guided tour had just finished and I was solo for the remainder of my stay in Japan Fun fact, Sonobe (now Nantan since 2006) is the birthplace of Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Super Mario and Zelda. My tour guide, Maki, gave me a tour of the picturesque countryside, Ikimi Tenmangu Shrine, Sonobe Castle (of which it is part of the local high school). She also showed me one of the caves that Shigeru explored as a child used as inspiration for the dungeon in Zelda. I took the footage with my GoPro 10
