I have a 2006 CLS55 AMG that was imported to the states from Canada a few years ago. When I go to the page to check my oil level, that row is not displayed on that screen. My instr sw is 305, version 0094, insrt hw is 505 so I can see those items but nothing for the oil level. Not sure what to do.
Is there a way to calibrate the oil level reading? I just changed mine and put in exactly 8.5L and it reads 7.7quarts. It should read 9 quarts. Thanks for your great videos!
question. if there are some error datas, i.e. faulty headlamp and while you turn the key once error message appears immediately. in this situation pusshing reset button 3 times will just made error message go away. my point is that the car has to have no error messages what so ever to use this function, right?
No this model car doesn't have a dipstick I drive a 2005 Mercedes-Benz e320 and their is no dipstick located under the hood so this is the only way of knowing how much oil is in the car.
Hello. I’m just south of you in the Seattle area. Anyhow on my e63, I can get to that same oil level check screen but there is no line for the oil level, it’s blank. Do you think there’s a sensor that’s bad? Thanks!
Damon Anderson I believe that the E63s uses an oil level sensor as well. You should have some error message if there is an issue. It’s not hard to replace the sensor. It mounts on the outside of the oil pan. Something to look at on the next oil change.
